Rush Limbaugh: Obama twisting Holy Scripture
Limbaugh focused in on Obama's statement of "being my brother's and sister's keeper, treating others as they would treat me."

"The reason why this is important is there's an effort by the left to say that Jesus was a socialist," said Limbaugh, "and they are using this to turn many evangelical people into global-warming people. We are the stewards of the planet and so forth. There's an ongoing effort here to corrupt Christianity."

Stressing he was not disputing the president's profession of Christianity, Limbaugh went into a detailed analysis of Obama's remarks, noting:

There's a lot of people who do not know details of their own religious belief. But the Golden Rule is not a precept of Christianity. I hate to point this out, but the Golden Rule does not emanate, originate, from Christianity. And this brother's keeper business? That's not Jesus. I hate to say this, but Jesus Christ did ...

Jim, if you haven't heard of Robert Byrd or Tom Metzger, here's a couple more Democrats of reknown for you to look up- Lester Maddox and George Wallace.

Mike, who were those guys? The Record, actually has a good comment, most of which I agree with. Unfortunately the Nebraskan W.J. Bryan was not a conservative, I believe his brother was (a Republican?) and his boss, Woodrow Wilson were more conservative than William, our silver-tongued orator of the Platte (river). He didn't want people hung a the cross that was the gold standard.

Now if you mentioned George W. Norris and even William Howard Taft as progressive Republicans, I can understand that.

Sorry to disagree. You have your history a mite wrong. Can you say Robert Byrd? Tom Metzger?

I think the worst statement I heard was Jessie Jackson say in an interview that, "Jesus was Liberal."
Now that is just sheer blasphemy!
I noticed that Jackson was nominated for the Democratic presidential nomination. Funny how all the Liberals head for the Democratic party.
The Sadducees Were The "Liberals" In Jesus' Day......At Least The "Religious" Liberals.

The Pharisees Were The "Conservatives" In Jesus' Day......At Least The "Religious" Conservatives.

The Lord Jesus Christ Was Neither A Left-Winged "Religious" Radical NOR Was HE A Right-Winged "Religious" Extremist: HE Was & IS GOD Manifest In The Flesh (See 1 Timothy 3:16) !

The "Joke" Back In The Days Of William Jennings Bryan, A Conservative Democratic-American Statesman Of The Late-19th/Early-20th Centuries, Was "Jesus Was A Democrat ! -- After All, He Rode Into Jerusalem On A DONKEY & Not On An ELEPHANT !"

It Seems That "All Liberals Head For The American 'Democratic Party'; But, On The Other Foot: "It Seems That All Right-Winged Radicals/Extremists, Fascists, Neo-Nazis & Ku Klux Klansmen Head (& Become Candidates) Of The American 'Republican Party' !

I never stated that Limbaugh is a Christian. Limbaugh might be a Christian but I am not going to make a judgement on that call. I was just refuting the notion that McMahan stated that Limbaugh is a secular humanist because a secular humanist denies that God exists. And since Limbaugh does not deny that God exists then Limbaugh is not a secular humanist. When are you going to respond to my post of 9/30/10 in the news article titled "Prince Of Wales:I Believe In Miracles"?

Obama is bad yes but, I don't desire to hear preaching from someone who has a sodomite play at his fourth wedding.

Where do you get the insane notion that Limbaugh is a secular humanist? A secular humanist denies that God exists. And since Limbaugh believes in God and believes in Jesus as God then Limbaugh is not a secular humanist.
