"The second outrage is that the pastor of this church apparently believes that conducting potlucks and hosting tours of mosques for Christians and churches for Muslims is going to somehow fulfill Christ's command to preach repentance and remission of sins," Schlueter added.
Schlueter believes that the Great Commission that Christ gave to the church is best understood through a direct proclamation of the Gospel message.
"All the good intentions and all the group hugs in Seattle are not going to accomplish the commission that Christ gave us to preach the Gospel to every nation," Schlueter stated....
After listening to the audio tape in the article Rev.12:15-16 came to mind. "And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth." Rev.11:2 Describes the church of the earth. Rev 11:1 and 12:1-2 the historic church of Jesus Christ, referred to as the church in heaven many times in this book, because they are its members by grace through faith. see Ephesians. 1:3 at least that is what I believe with the help of James Durham and the Spirit of God.
There's not enough in this article to make a conclusive judgement on this pastor. But there are many red flags.
There is nothing wrong with missionary outreach to non-Christians. The problem is when liberal, new-age type emerging churches call themselves "Evangelical Christians".
Psalms 127:1 (A Song of Ascents, of Solomon.) Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman keeps awake in vain.---NASB
I am a miserable wretch, without much spiritual understanding: But I hope and pray, that God may use this situation for His glory!
Philippians 1:18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

"thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:"
"When Christians sit down with Muslims to have an interfaith dialogue, typically what happens is that Christians stand up and say wonderful things about Islam."
As soon as you use that term "interfaith" you have shortcircuited the Gospel witness.
This is not a church reaching out to the unsaved - it is a pleasant conversation between two opposing religions without any real purpose, except to make Islam more acceptable in "Christian" communities.
"Interfaith" and "multifaith" are two lies, two deceiving terms which are oxymoron.
27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. 28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
