'The Shack' bringing 'another gospel' to the big screen
One of the best-selling – and most controversial – Christian novels of the last decade may be coming to a movie theater near you.
Author William Paul Young confirmed in an e-mail to WND that he is writing a screenplay to make his publishing phenomenon, "The Shack," into a motion picture.
"The Shack," a story of a man who meets God in the woods following the kidnapping and death of his daughter, has sold over 12 million copies and has spent 111 weeks – and counting – on the New York Times best-seller list, including more than a year in the No. 1 spot....
If history teaches us anything, it teaches us that the lukewarm Christian is not so much at danger in times of heresies but the passionate one is. Just as it is usually the sincere and intelligent and spiritual seeker who is more in danger from a cult than an apathetic unspiritual wordly man. Nobody knowingly joins a cult - they join what they think is the way and the truth. As A W Towzer said: ‘Strange as it may seem, the danger today is greater for the fervent Christian than for the lukewarm and the self-satisfied. The seeker after God’s best things is eager to hear anyone who offers a way by which he can obtain them. He longs for some new experience, some elevated view of truth, some operation of the Spirit that will raise him above the dead level of religious mediocrity he sees all around him, and for this reason he is ready to give a sympathetic ear to the new and the wonderful in religion, particularly if it is presented by someone with an attractive personality and a reputation for superior godliness.’ (The rest of the article on testing the spirits is here http://endtimespropheticwords.wordpress.com/2008/04/23/how-to-try-the-spirits/ )

Must be comforting to know that nothing matters, that good and evil have no effect. Seems silly to complain about liberalism, RC's, JW's, modern versions, etc., doesn't it?

Here's a link to this abominable book. It has caused so much damage in churches and will be just that more effective once it gets to the movie screen. A lot of people don't have the patience to read a book, but will sit for two hours in a stinking movie theatre and allow this deception to mold their minds...
