I've got to hand it to the Muslims. They could have used "muslim school" as a lead in. Muslim schools and mosques, one doesn't exist without the other, teaching much the same. Schools are an easier sell. But they wanted to call it a mosque, and build it at ground zero. This was a bold declaration. It's a free country and we have freedom of religion. Sooner or later, it will be built there. But at least see it for what it is, and it is not about religious freedom.
The project was named, "The Cordoba Initiative", so called after the defeat of Christians in Spain. But they backed off and renamed it because while the project could be defended in a free society, the name couldn't.

Under Islamic law, any inch of land that once houses a mosque or an islamic gravesite is muslim land in perpetuity, i.e, FOREVER. This is the priciple of "Waqf". In some countries, Waqf sites are treated as a country whithin a country, where the muslim undertaker/council has absolute authority. Historically, Islamic conquest resulted in the desecration of other religious sites. Muslims would foist the Islamic flag and plaster koranic verses. This was to show Islam's superiority. And now it belonged to muslims forever, retroactively from the beginning of time. Jeruslem was NEVER mentioned in the Quran. And prior to 1930 there was no claim to the temple mount. Today, the walls are plastered with quranic verses and muslims claim that it is their land because it once was. The Taj Mahal was once a Hindu shrine, if only the Waqf council would allow the quranic plastered walls to be peeled back. Under Islam, what was once conqured by them, belongs to muslims in perpetuity and all history changes to reflect that. A mosque on ground zero is a bold, brazen affront by foisting a madrasa flag over a conqured land and it's people.

Just had a thought you know the those that believe that 9/11 was a conspriracy by President Bush and Vice President Cheney well guess what here is their revenge. This would be the only logical reason you would not believe that Muslims should have a right to build on that site or anywhere. Let's get it out right now. I don't want to see another Mosque build anywhere from Merced Ca. to Hobbken, PA. It is not a of GOD and it's a rouse to conquer people physically or take control politically. I have to question any man's sincerity who would approve of this mosque after the events of 9/11. It's a victory, but not for America... It's a travesty! It's an insult!
