The recent decoding of a cryptic cup, the excavation of ancient tunnels in Jerusalem, and other archaeological detective work may help solve one of the great biblical mysteries: Who wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls?
The new clues hint that the scrolls, which include some of the oldest known biblical documents, may have been the textual treasures of several groups, hidden away during wartime -- and may even be "the great treasure from the Jerusalem Temple," which held the Ark of the Covenant, according to the Bible....
If the Lord had required these Scrolls to have any significance to man HE would not have left it until 1947 to have them brought to light.
All they are is something for the archeologists and historians to play with.
The True Christian holds the Word of God in his hands and that is the most important literature known to man. He does not require archeology to confirm the authenticity of God's Bible, the Holy Spirit is the only one ordained to do this.
The Truth behind the Dead Sea Scrolls, really won't be found on Fox News or even this National Geographic site. If you saw any of the NGS channel's presentation on the Dead Sea Scrolls, you'll notice they ignore the remarks that were in their own show. The ink used to write the Dead Sea Scrolls, was made with water from the Dead Sea! Dr. Geisler had a good article about the Dead Sea Scrolls years ago, which I would suggest that you read. The Dead Sea Scrolls.
The Dead Sea Scrolls don't answer at all the question of How We Got Our Bible. They just further confirm that the Bible we have is accurate -- for those who need such confirmation
