Homeschoolers alarmed by Kagan nomination
Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan's press for considering international law as "the context" for interpreting U.S. law has incited worries her appointment could pave the way for world treaties that threaten both parental rights and homeschooling in the United States.

A statement from the Homeschooling Legal Defense Association points to Kagan's decision as dean of Harvard Law School to require first-year students to study international law:

"From the start, students should learn to locate what they are learning about public and private law in the United States within the context of a larger universe," reads a letter from Kagan and Harvard's Curricular Innovations Committee advocating the requirement. "Specifically, we recommend the development of three foundation courses … each of which represents a door into the global sphere that students will use as context for U.S. law." ...

Good day troll.
I am serious. I plan on moving to Eastern Colorado and purchas a farm. And I was born in 1962. And if I want to have 10 children then I will have to marry a farm girl who is at least 30 years younger then I am.

As I prepare to return to the Obamanation this stuff starts to worry me again. For the record, I am a product of the public school system and some day I hope to teach at a public school in America. However, some of the smartest students that I have ever met at Univeristy were homeschoolers. If I have children, I'll teach them at home myself. They will be much better off.

John Yorick, you being a Catholic, I can't blame you for wanting to home school your childern, Abuse in the Catholic Church. You know doubt realize what a failure parochial schools are because, Should Roman Catholicism really be classified as a Christian religion? -- No..

The Senate has to ratify any treaties, and the new Senate will even be less likely to ratify anything like that which the present one wouldn't do either, our laws take precedence. Links To State Laws & Organizations For Homeschoolers. Cases have to be brought up to Supreme Court, they can't just be introduced by a whim of single supreme Court Justice, if my memory serves correctly.

Good for you. And I don't beleive for one minute that you are going to raise hermits. From your posts, I believe that you plan to raise your family so that they will impact the world for righteousness.

"the HSLDA is concerned Kagan may push the Supreme Court to consider a pair of United Nations treaties"

This is back door Liberalism (of course under Barack) allowing access of the UN, which is predominantly Liberal in its direction, to have ingress into American justice.

Obama administration, and co, is having disturbing effects on the country.

Why am I referred to as a troll for stating that I am going to homeschool my children that I am going to have when I get married? And what is silly about homeschooling? And what is silly about constructing a one room school house on the farm that I am going to purchase so that the children can be homeschooled in the one room school house?
