Governor lets Va. troopers refer to Jesus
Virginia state troopers can again refer to Jesus Christ in public prayers. Republican Gov. Robert F. McDonnell late Wednesday lifted a restriction imposed by former Democratic Gov. Timothy M. Kane in 2008.

Previously, troopers involved in a volunteer chaplain program had been able to invoke Jesus or otherwise pray according to their respective religions.

It's all very well these men can use the name of Jesus in public prayer. What had always bothered me is that -- e.g. in the Army -- Jesus' name was used all the time, but rarely in prayer.

James 5
12 But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath; but let your yes be yes, and your no, no; so that you may not fall under judgment.---NASB

In the template for prayers, The Lord's Prayer, Jesus himself never used, "Yahweh," in His prayer. A Christian always has to be careful about, public Prayer.
