Vatican Backs Intestinal Stem Cell Research Initiative
The Vatican is throwing its support behind a new international research initiative to explore the therapeutic potential of intestinal stem cells.

The International Intestinal Stem Cell Consortium, which is being led by the University of Maryland School of Medicine, has brought together scientists from several institutes in Italy as well as their own to focus on what they consider to be a promising but largely neglected area in stem cell research.

Study Suggests Link Between Autism and Use of Cells From Abortions in Vaccines

Jessica, so sorry about your Aunt. It is an important story you tell.

Jessica, perhaps you need to find out. Viruses need a host cell. Would you prefer monkey kidney instead of fetal retina?

God bless!

I told you I don't get immunization shots, so I do not condone either. I know other Christians who don't believe in getting immunization shots.

My Aunt is said to have died from a flu shot, she had an over active immune system and went into a coma and eventually died. I have a similar immune disorder attacking my body, I'm not interested in risking my life and morals to get a vaccination.

This is something of a "fun" article, Let None Dare Call it Liberty: The Catholic Church in Colonial America. It is a Catholic article, which complains about the English "Protestant" Anglican Church. among other things. It really in a way shows the justifiable fear that Dabney expressed in The Perils of Popery.

So, Neil, I'm glad you brought up the comment about Maryland, there is an interesting section about it in the "fun" article.

jpw, your unproven categorical statement was about what all Christians actually do, not what CDC *says* they or anyone else should do.

Not sure if what you are saying is true, but I haven't gotten a vaccination for about 25 years because of a medical condition.

Fetal stem-cells are not an issue here, for the article emphasizes that the whole point of Vatican support is the declared preference for studying *adult* stem cells instead. And of course jpw has no way to know whether *all* Christians get "continually" vaccinated.

Rather, I find it interesting that a state university accepts money from a "church." Maryland is a rare bird - a jurisdiction founded by a Catholic, but with no established church.

Ah, something nice to distract the laity from, Abuse in the Catholic Church and Clerical Celibacy?

Matthew 13
14 "And in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says, 'YOU WILL KEEP ON HEARING, BUT WILL NOT UNDERSTAND; AND YOU WILL KEEP ON SEEING, BUT WILL NOT PERCEIVE;
15 FOR THE HEART OF THIS PEOPLE HAS BECOME DULL, AND WITH THEIR EARS THEY SCARCELY HEAR, AND THEY HAVE CLOSED THEIR EYES LEST THEY SHOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES, AND HEAR WITH THEIR EARS, AND UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART AND RETURN, AND I SHOULD HEAL THEM.'---NASB
