Pope meets with Malta sex abuse victims
He expressed his “shame and sorrow” over what the men had suffered and insisted that the Catholic Church was doing “all in its power” to investigate similar allegations around the world.

The men, who claim they endured years of sexual abuse by Catholic priests at an orphanage on the island, said the Pope had tears in his eyes when he apologised to them for their ordeals.

Just perhaps the pope should try using this as his next reason / excuse for HIS problems................................

Women who wear revealing clothing and behave promiscuously are to blame for earthquakes, a senior Iranian cleric has said.
In a prayer sermon, the cleric said: 'Many women who do not dress modestly... lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which increases earthquakes.'

So, jpw, "Two wrongs make a right?" June did a good job of pointing out that what the reformers knew, the Pope was and is, an antichrist, The Pope and the Papacy. The cover-up that the Roman Catholic Church does, Abuse in the Catholic Church and The US Priest Scandal: Rome’s Strategy for Damage Limitation is deceitfulness at its worst.

The big difference is that Protestant churches do not try to cover-up the behavior of pedophiles and shipped them off to another church to continue their evil practices. The child molesters get sent to jail. If you no different circumstances, point amount to us.

C.H. Spurgeon wrote:
Popery is contrary to Christ’s Gospel, and is the Antichrist, and we ought to pray against it. It should be the daily prayer of every believer that Antichrist might be hurled like a millstone into the flood and for Christ, because it wounds Christ, because it robs Christ of His glory, because it puts sacramental efficacy in the place of His atonement, and lifts a piece of bread into the place of the Saviour, and a few drops of water into the place of the Holy Ghost, and puts a mere fallible man like ourselves up as the vicar of Christ on earth; if we pray against it, because it is against Him, we shall love the persons though we hate their errors: we shall love their souls though we loath and detest their dogmas, and so the breath of our prayers will be sweetened, because we turn our faces towards Christ when we pray.
