Obama extends health care rights to gay partners
WASHINGTON – In a move hailed as a step toward fairness for same-sex couples, President Barack Obama is ordering that nearly all hospitals allow patients to say who has visitation rights and who can help make medical decisions, including gay and lesbian partners.

The White House on Thursday released a statement by Obama instructing his Health and Human Services secretary to draft rules requiring hospitals that receive Medicare and Medicaid payments to grant all patients the right to designate people who can visit and consult with them at crucial moments.

The designated visitors should have the same rights that immediate family members now enjoy, Obama's instructions said. It said Medicare-Medicaid hospitals, which include most of the nation's facilities, may not deny visitation and consultation privileges on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender ...

He has given an order to some anonymous man or woman (so-called debt collector) to demand money and who refuses to identify himself or herself and his or her status, whether he or she professes Christ or not. This mysterious "debt collector" continues to send anonymous mail to my STILL RECOVERING WIFE AND BELIEVING MOTHER OF 5 CHILDREN, and refuses to cooperate with the letters that I have sent in response, and has also refused to send a copy of a contract. Stay tuned. Other antichrists in addition to the surgeon are sure to gang up on my wife and follow the same wicked path.
I'm sorry that on top of the medical problems, you have to go through this added stress as well. I will be in prayer for you.

If you are going to legislate Christian morality,then why stop at sexual sin, why not make it illegal to buy and sell on the Sabbath,why not make it a legal responsibility to look after your parents when they become old and frail,(not just bunging them in a home, but taking them in your own home).Why not make it a crime to worship God other than in a prescribed Christian way,ban other religions from having images that they worship(ban other religions),why not make divorce illegal,why not make perjury a capital offence when it involves false evidence that could take someones life.Why not make adultery a crime(there is no other sin, including homosexual practice,that the bible condemns more).
BTW, I am a Christian.
I believe you are a christian, But I did want to mention that many of the things you mentioned were illegal in the US until a few years ago. Adultry, keeping shop on the Lord's day. Divorce could not be granted unless adultry was proven. Homosexuality is still against the law in some states. You may have your opinion, but it has not been historicly researched. It sopunds more like an emotionaly charged reaction.

Yes indeed scottishguy, - Why not do things by the Word of God??? Great idea???

Why not? Because of the original sin by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Why not? Because God has ordained it will not be so in the children of Adam and Eve.... "Gen 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree,...... cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field"

Punishment for sin.
Reality Inherited by the human race!
Because = EG Romans 7:14-25.

But hey lets not stop trying to obey God!! Even if we are a bunch of evil hearted sinners

Now, why did you need to declare yourself Christian???

Certain things are universally held as wrong and legislated against,others are cultural, an yet others "faith" based.Unless you live in a theocracy you cannot legislate for moral issues that are only accepted on a faith basis.
We may not agree with cetain things, but legislating against them does not bring morality, just legal obedience or disobidience.The Victorians were on the surface ,very moral, but this was just a veneer,in reality things were just as bad as ever.

With that reasoning every country needs to legalize Murder and Stealing. That old saying "you can't legislate morality" is a misnomer. Morality is the only thing that can be legislated. Granted, there is no law that can change a heart, but that does not mean that we allow all kinds of behavior.

Western nations including Scotland legislated in previous centuries in a predominantly Christian way.

It is only now since the 1960's watershed that we find the church being useless, unChristian and ashamed of the Bible.

It is only now also that we find the politics of western nations including Scotland to be distinctly ANTI-CHRISTIAN!!!

There was a time when Scotland led the world in good solid Christian values and standards. Today of course it forms part of the United Kingdom of Sodom and Gomorah.

2Peter 2:6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

"The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session."

"Section 3 - State of the Union, Convening Congress

He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States."

"Section 4 - Disqualification

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors." (Constitution of the United States)

From what is prescribed by the United States Constitution it is clear that our current president has extended himself way beyond the limitations of that founding document.

What can we do? Pray. That's about it until Novemeber. Then we still have two more years of this clown. Maybe the "common sense" crowd will remember this lesson next time. You can't stay at home on election night and let the lunatics take over the asylum and then complain when the country is radically changed day by day. McCain may have been the lesser of two evils, but I for one would like less evil better than more evil. I am wondering just how much more damage can be done between now and the time "the one (termer)" gets voted out of office.
