The Haitian earthquake has killed an estimated 45,000-50,000 people, a spokesman for the Red Cross federation said Thursday.
"We consider this as an estimate" from the Haitian Red Cross, said Jean-Luc Martinage, a spokesman for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
He said it was based both on figures being used by Haitian government members and on information from the Haitian Red Cross' wide network of volunteers in Port-au-Prince.
"It remains an estimate to us," Martinage told The Associated Press. "Tonight the federation is not saying this is (definitely) the number of deaths."...
As I've Said In Another Thread On The Earthquake In Haiti: That When ALL The Dust Settles, As Do The "Aftershocks", That Between 1,000,000 & 2,000,000 Souls Will Perish &-Or Turn Up Missing.
I Remember My Friendship With Br. Maxim Pierre-Pierre, & Talking With Him, As If It Were Only Yesterday !
Everytime I'd Pass Him Up In The Hallways, Or Walkways, @ BJU I'd Exclaim:
"Maxeem Pierre-Pierre ! Si Voux Ple, Ques Ceu Sei?, Jeu Me Apel Antoine, Aie Voux?"
English: "Maxeem [Maxim] Pierre-Pierre !, I Presume (Literally: 'If You Please'), How Are You? (Lit: 'What Do You Say?'), I'm Anthony (Lit: 'My Name Is Anthony'), And You (How Are You [Doing])?"
I Took Conversational French In Jr. Highschool (I Got An "A" For 'Speaking'--We Weren't Graded For Spelling, Ha-Ha!), So I Thought I'd Share With Maxime The Little French That I Knew.
He Was Quite Amused.
I Once Kiddingly Asked Maxim If He Came To BJU: To Look For A "Ti Fam" (A 'Little Woman' Or 'Senorita')--That Is, If He Came To BJU To Meet A Chaste Young (Judeo-)Christian Lady (Virgin) To Marry.
He Laughingly Said No; But That It Would Be An Extra Benefit.
Maxim Told Me He Came To BJU On A "Timothy Student" Scholarship & Wanted To Be A Missionary To Haiti.
*He'd Say-Pronounce My First Name (Tony): "Tunney" !
Mike wrote: Wow, I didn't realize countries worshipped anything. Always thought it was people. Maybe that explains the missionaries that were "punished" there.
hydraian wrote: haiti was worshipping demons! Of course God is going to get mad and punish them!
YES & AMEN "hydraian": HAITI, That Is The HAITIAN NATION & PEOPLE Of HAITI, Were (& [Looks Like Those "Aftershocks" Didn't Bring Any Genuine Authorized-Biblical/Spiritual Repentance Either] Still Are) Worshipping Devil/Demon/Evil-Spirits Of Divination, Sorcery & VooDoo:
Not Much Different From The Satanic-Vatican/Roman-"Catholic"-Cultic & Occultic "Religious" Devil/Demon/Evil-Spirits That They're STILL Entertaining, Paying Heed To & Obeying: Via The Roman-"Catholic"-Cultic Groveling, Cow-Towing & "Rear-End-Kissing" GENERAL PRESS & MEDIA !
While A Student @ BJU, I Befriended A Beloved Brother In Christ From HAITI (He Was A "Timothy Student" In The '80s) By The Name Of MAXIM PIERRE-PIERRE. He Was From PORT-Au-PRINCE & Told Me He Wanted To Go Back To HAITI As A MISSIONARY To HIS LOST HAITIAN PEOPLE !
Since My BJU Days, I've Lost ALL Contact With MAXIM !
If He Did Become THE MISSIONARY TO HAITI He Wanted To Be; He MAY HAVE PERISHED With The Untold HUNDRED-THOUSANDS That Have Been Buried ALIVE In The Rubble At PORT-Au-PRINCE !
If MAXIM Died For THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST; I KNOW I'LL SEE HIM IN HEAVEN !
GOD is jealous and the LORD revengeth the LORD revengeth and is furious the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries and he reserveth wrath for his enemies. nahum 1:2 haiti is chuck full of voodoo worship were the catholic priests take part in the ceremonies.i just wonder why those catholics are so eager about that country.is it because the preists get easy access to the little boys.
3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus' sake.---NASB.
This means if you plan to send a contribution for Haitian relief, never do it through the Romish Church! Use something like, The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services, Red Cross, etc., never to the Romish Church!
