Obama: Jesus the socialist
Apparently not content with his congressional majority that wishes to force Americans on a long march to healthcare disaster, President Obama has invoked the name of Jesus to broadcast his gospel of spreading the wealth around.

Speaking Monday afternoon to a group of children from the Washington, D.C., Boys and Girls Club, the president delivered a mini sermon on “why we celebrate Christmas.” He asked the children if they knew. One piped up and said, “The birth of baby Jesus.”

I myself do not require anything to be spoken to me but the language and context that the Holy Bible uses, and the terms and expressions found therein, versus the phrases and terms of men's devisings.

Isaiah 32:3
"And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken. (4) The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly. (5) The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful. (6) For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail. (7) The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right. (8) But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand."

NO!

Prov 10:15 The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.
16 The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.

San Jose John wrote:
Most if not all redistribution advocated by Christ was VOLUNTARY.
(Acts 4:34-37), not government imposed (by taxes, witholdings, etc.).
If Christ were socialist, he surely would've prompted the poor widow to keep her two mites, and recieve much more from the treasury in which she placed them. Instead He praises her for giving all she had.
Clearly Christ has a much greater message in mind that mere socialism, based on His life and teachings in the Bible.
Including those teachings

-to beware of covetousness (for God will judge)

-that it is more blessed to give than to receive

-there is more to life than food or raiment (but our life is by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Father JAH)

-to take no thought for our lives, nor for the morrow

-and, that we should be prepared to reject the mark of the beast, when it comes, thus to foregoing the right to buy and sell

San Jose John,

Amen! Stealing from any social class, whether from the rich or middle class is not good.

Amen, San Jose John ! Last I Checked With The 66 Books Of The Historic Authorized Holy Judeo-Christian Bible Scriptures; The LORD Jesus Christ Of Nazareth In Israel Is A CAPITALIST: "He Owns The Cattle On A Thousand Hills The Wealth In Every Land" !

ALL Power (Wealth & Captial: EVERYTHING) Is Given Unto Him In Heaven & In (On & Under The) Earth !

The Biggest LIE Perpetrated Among Socialists, Communists, Collectivists & Etc. Is The LIE That "The LORD Jesus Christ Was/Is A 'Socialist'" !

NO, The LORD Jesus Christ Is NOT A "Socialist", "Communist", "Collectivist" & Etc. !

HE'S A CAPITALIST !

THE GREATEST COMPASSIONATE CAPITALIST IN EXISTENCE !

ALL Historic Authorized Biblical Giving & Distibution Of Wealth, Monies & Capital Is STRICTLY VOLUNTARY: NEVER COMPULSARY !

"And When All Things Shall Be Subdued Unto Him, Then Shall The Son Also Himself Be Subject Unto Him That Put All Things Under Him, That GOD May Be All In All." I Cor. 15:28

"For Ye Have The Poor With You Always, And Whensoever Ye Will Ye May Do Them Good: But Me Ye Have Not Always." Mark 14:7

"For Ye Have The Poor Always With You; But Me Ye Have Not Always." Matt. 26:11

The Bible is much more paternalistic and capitalist, than many wish it would be. Of course, Bumbling Bush, used a toss-away phrase, "compassionate conservative," and he was for the Forbes 400!

But,

Mark 14
7 "For the poor you always have with you, and whenever you wish, you can do them good; but you do not always have Me.---NASB.

They would be a lot less call for "Socialism," if there was much more compassion among the greedy.

I remember Obama early in his agenda asked if anyone new what Bible verses to use? It looks like he found which ones to use when he is promoting his worldview. It's funny how the Bible reveals the foolishness of man or the ignorance of a person that tries to speak about something he knows nothing about.

The problem with the incisive article and replies against the unemployed and/or those of us who have no money, is, how partial you are in quoting the doctrine of Christ Jesus and the Prophets, and the bare-boned offerings (in the name of the blessed) which are given for acknowledgment that, whilst we eat no man's bread for nothing, we remain meat and prey to the covetous, all in the name of "earned wealth", and while denying the balances are falsified. Without cease year after year capitalist barnyard politicians neigh, moo, oink, and bark no different than than the beasts of the field. We could form a mighty army of men who have worked 10, 20, 30, 40 years without being detained before the LORD for fellowship and accountability, who have had no observance of sabbath days or feast weeks, and much less the due leave and release that comes during the years of liberty every 7 years, and compensation for those years that were deferred. Nay, Paul said "I do not say to thee how THOU OWEST UNTO ME even thine ownself besides." and for perfect and justified reasons said "have we not power to FORBEAR working?"

Praise God for what is good and right from rulers, but not in the form of strings attached, and money that cannot redeem honest brethren from their yokes and debts.

Jesus is not a socialist.

I'm tired of people trying to say He was or is.

Obama shouldn't even be saying His name.

After Obama mocked the Sermon on the Mount and people who "cling" to their religion and guns.

After that mockery and people still believe anything that comes from this anti-christ's mouth!?

"The president spoke of what Jesus “symbolizes for people all around the world,” which he said, “is the possibility of peace and people treating each other with respect.”"

This is probably true for the Liberals who seem to be convinced that government will solve all mans problems and of course, save him.

Mr. Obama needs to stop talking about things he knows absolutely nothing about. A person should always be familiar with the subject being discussed. In this case, the Bible.

God's Word says that a person unwilling to work should not eat. How about a sermon on that, Mr. Obama? It doesn't fit into your socialistic scheme but give it a try anyway.
