Irish Evangelicals back legislation for same-sex partnerships
The Evangelical Alliance Ireland has urged Christians to back the Civil Partnership Bill, which would introduce legal recognition of same-sex relationships in the Republic of Ireland.
The Alliance’s stance on the issue is likely to win praise for its courage, as well as criticism from those who expect evangelicals to oppose gay people’s rights.

These poor illiterates clearly do not understand what the term "Evangelical" really means.
They obviously do not know what the term "abomination" means either.
But then all people who cannot read Scripture are liars - and therefore NOT evangelical!
Psalm 52:3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
Psalm 120:2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue
Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections....
This came as a shock to many but in Ireland is not surprising. We in Reformation Ireland have made a strong stand on Sodomy and there is no room for any equivocation on the matter as far as scripture goes. Do these folk really believe in Sola Scriptura ?
Frankly I`ve never heard of the "Evangelical Alliance Ireland" but with this snippit of news I have not missed much. Sounds like less of the Evang & more of the gellie. Just fits like a hand in a glove in an apostate age
Everyone wants to be called an Evangelical. The term is being used by so many people that hold to the exact opposite of its original meaning, that the term can stand for anything now.
