More Americans mix, match religions
When it comes to religion, many Americans like the mix-and-match, build-your-own approach.

Large numbers attend services of traditions other than their own and blend Christianity with Eastern and New Age beliefs, a survey finds.

The report Wednesday from the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life also shows tremendous growth over the past three decades in the number of Americans who say they have had a religious or mystical experience.

"blend Christianity with Eastern and New Age beliefs, a survey finds."

It doesn't work that way. The "new age" is not new and it is satanic.

You need to look up William Cooper on youtube. He talks about the new age.

I should have really pointed out an even better example are Catholics who blend in various pagan religions into their own pagan religion, q.v., "syncretic/eclectic Catholicism" in A Catholic is a Catholic is a Catholic?. I would suppose some liberal Protestant groups may do it as well, but as Rick from Alabama pointed out the post-modern problems, are having a bad effect, The Truth Behind The Church's Purpose.

Pastor Mike wrote:
Those who attend the church I pastor are encouraged to mix and match not only religions but also sexual orientations, gender identities, and drugs in the search for a lifestyle that feels good.
Why does Sermon Audio continue to allow an outspoken atheist to post comments to its website?

Of course Americans do it. We have a caffeteria mentality of everything. Madison Ave. has convinced everyone that "If you Desire it, the you Deserve it" and if anyone tells us we can't do something, then we want to sue them for violating our rights.
By the way; this Postmodern amalgamation of everything, that says "There are no Opposites", and "The only thing wrong is to say that something is wrong", is the basis for the One World False Religion of the last days.

Of course Roman Catholics do it all the time, Doctrinal Smorgasbord? One has to be very careful about The Dividing Line Between Truth And Error

John 10
7 Jesus therefore said to them again, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
John 14
6 Jesus said^ to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.
Acts 4
12 "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved."---NASB

In Isaiah, God Himself mocks those who create their own religion:

Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow. Isaiah 50:11
