True enough gentlemen, the following is not just true for the Book of Revelation:
Revelation 22 18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God shall add to him the plagues which are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.---NASB.
I wonder if this fellow is an old or new atheist, when it comes to philosophy? Atheists in Bubbleland.
For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. Jude 4
Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way ot Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. Jude 11
"He knows it will be controversial" - well, DUH! He knows the only way anyone will pay any attention to him is if he engages in outright blasphemy. When Pastor Ian Brown put his sermon about Pullman online (a good listen if you haven't heard it) I found an electronic text of Pullman's novels and tried reading some - regardless of the subject-matter of the novels, this stuff is a slog to try to read. He is not a very good writer. If it wasn't for his self-made controversies and the anti-religious bias of Hollywood, he wouldn't have attracted any attention at all.
The imaginations of Phillip Pullman have left him grasping the wrong end of the stick...The crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ was planned by God, obeyed by The Son & it was not in man`s capabilities to alter that plan as recorded by Mark 10:45: For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. John 10:18: also records, No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
"The Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, has, however, proposed that His Dark Materials should be taught as part of religious education in schools"
Which reveals just how much a "NON-CHRISTIAN" Rowan Williams is. Therein lies the tale of Liberalism!!
2Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even AS THERE SHALL BE FALSE TEACHERS AMONG YOU, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of."
Never a truer word spoken of the modern Anglican abomination.
