Obama's Frightening Insensitivity Following Shooting
After news broke out of the shooting at the Fort Hood Army post in Texas, the nation watched in horror as the toll of dead and injured climbed. The White House was notified immediately and by late afternoon, word went out that the president would speak about the incident prior to a previously scheduled appearance. At about 5 p.m., cable stations went to the president. The situation called for not only his trademark eloquence, but also grace and perspective.

But instead of a somber chief executive offering reassuring words and expressions of sympathy and compassion, viewers saw a wildly disconnected and inappropriately light president making introductory remarks. At the event, a Tribal Nations Conference hosted by the Department of Interior's Bureau of Indian affairs, the president thanked various staffers and offered a "shout-out" to "Dr. Joe Medicine Crow -- that Congressional Medal of Honor ...

I'd make a long comment but do to the long standing actions of the Mr. Obama I can only say, it does not surprise me. He shows more compassion for Osama bin Laden and company.

Perhaps the Lord is using Obama to separate the sheep from the goats? At some point men of God will be forced to choose who they will serve.. their 501 c -3 tax agreement muzzle or the Lord Jesus Christ. How LONG will ye do so? How long will pastors remain quiet on homosexuality being forced on our children in schools, Jesuit control of the government, partial birth abortion?

Pastors complain that people are not in the church.. but that is because the Christians stay out of the whore churches who sold out their souls for tax exemption. How I long for the Lord to raise up an honest man who will speak out! Lord send us a Calvin!

So, I Ask & Tell You, What Do You Expect From An Anti/Extra/Un-U.S. Constitutional Foreign-Born (Kenyan-Natural-Born), Alien, Quack, Fake, Phoney, Fraud, "Treasonous" Poser & Pseudo-U.S. President Like Barack Hussein OBAMA ? ! ? ! ? !

You'd Have To Be From Chicago To Really Know & Understand The Depths & Dregs Of ALL The Outright LIES, Deceptions, Double-Talk, Chicago-Mayor-Daley-Democratic-"Machine"-Political-Psychological-Warfare That's Being Waged & Played Upon The Minds, Intellects, Emotions & Wills Of The Citizens Of The U.S.A.: Not To Mention The Minds & Hearts Of The Peoples Of The World !

It's ALL About $$$$$$$$$$$$$ & About CONTROL !

CONTROL Of THE PEOPLE By & Through:

CONTROL Of THE PRESS, ECONOMY, ETC., ETC., ETC. !

CONTROL Of EVERYTHING Having To Do With Man's BODY, SOUL & SPIRIT !

ALL Leading Up To The VERY LITERAL FULFILLMENT Of REVELATION CHAPTER 13:16-18:

"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is [666]." !

Untrue! The President was NOT speaking when he was informed of the tragedy, but another person was at the podium. He sat sombre-faced at the news, and then immediately (in a sensitive manner)addressed the audience, including young children, about the attack on America. Those are the facts.

Would you care to elaborate, catchaser? Perhaps something that we on this 'Christian' website might grab a hold of and respond to rationally; or is this just a drive by shooting? Maybe even some enlightenment concerning the motivation behind your censure.

This was no tragedy; this is a criminal act. The lack of distinction can certainly be traced to the belief of the modern mentality that the wicked and the just are identical. The crime is not in the act itself anymore, but in calling it what it is.

It might be overly generous to say he's only partially sociopathic.

Obama clearly does not know how to read a situation like this. Perhaps he doesn't do public grief 'acting' like other professional politicians. Gordon Brown is similar in that his personality takes second place to political ambition.
Perhaps Obama needs a coach who can train him in sincerity and compassion communication. Then it might not always be the politician who speaks but occasionally the human being will appear in public.
It's only Mr. Cool being himself. That is, his adoring fans think he's cool, but others think him cold. It was the usual "we're on it" speech with the usual exaggerated head swings from left to right and back again. Perhaps he was coached in this by C3PO?

If you actually have sincerity and compassion, it shouldn't be a major problem to show it now and then.

This is such total bull, and, unfortunately, exactly the kind of distortions that I expect from a "Christian" website.

I've actually encountered a few PWCTC (People Who Call Themselves Christians) of the former type. As for the latter, well, who can tell?

"It must have been disappointing for many politically aware Democrats, still reeling from the election two days before"

Say, whats a "politically aware Democrat?"

I was one of those who watched with incredulity the President's comments on live television. At such a moment of National grief one might have expected to hear a sober, even sombre tone from the Commander-in-Chief. But, more than that, it would have been reasonable to expect that his immediate remarks might actually be focussed on the sad and tragic events at Fort Hood. Instead President Obama chose to indulge his audience with a light-hearted "shout-out" to a Native Indian Tribal leader. It was insensitive in the extreme. If President Bush had done something remotely similar at Ground Zero on 9/11 he would have been pilloried, even villified by the National Media. In marked contrast to his polished performances when speaking from a prepared script, Barak Obama has repeatedly shown himself to be both naive and incompetent when called upon to speak "off-the-cuff". On this occasion, however, his incompetence was over-shadowed by his crass insensitivity to the suffering and pain of the affected families, the Military community, and the American people as a whole. However, it ought to be no surprise to anyone coming as it does from a man who sat for 20 years in the congregation of the racist, Anti-American Jeremiah Wright, and who holds such extreme liberal views politically.
