Al Gore could become world's first carbon billionaire
Last year Mr Gore's venture capital firm loaned a small California firm $75m to develop energy-saving technology.
The company, Silver Spring Networks, produces hardware and software to make the electricity grid more efficient.
The deal appeared to pay off in a big way last week, when the Energy Department announced $3.4 billion in smart grid grants, the New York Times reports. Of the total, more than $560 million went to utilities with which Silver Spring has contracts.
The move means that venture capital company Kleiner Perkins and its partners, including Mr Gore, could recoup their investment many times over in coming years....
As many of the news events i have read today, catching up froma vacation, as shocked as I am at the man fired cause he expressed his belief when asked or the Prof dismissed because he asked a relevant, rational question, Gore burns my cookies. The H Y P O C R I C Y of the greens, the Dems, the Obama administration is outrageous. Thus i will have to seek Shalom in the Lord & let God handle this. & where I am called to give the apologetic, I will.PTLA!

Mr Gore is obviously very dedicated to saving the planet.
Or is he just making a fast buck on this?
