Christian groups bring different messages to Pride event
Outside the gates of Piedmont Park, where much of the Atlanta Pride Festival takes place, a handful of conservative Christians carried Bibles and signs, warning arriving gays of impending eternal doom unless they change.
This year, two evangelical ministers who are walking a middle path between outright condemnation and full affirmation of gay people took a booth and surprised those stopping by with apologies.
"I just want to say I'm sorry," Jason Harper, an assistant pastor from Sacramento, Calif., told a man as he handed him a white rubber bracelet with "We're Sorry" indented into it....

God is destroying this nation, just as He has others, because of our toleration and now even celebration of sodomites. They should not be welcome in any real fellowship of believers until they STOP SODOMIZING EACH OTHER. Again, I have never known of that to happen. Instead, they want to join your fellowship and demand tolerance. I personally believe that Romans 1 indicates that these folks have jumped the fence. Scripture makes it plain that God has a very harsh view of sodomite behavior and he is quick to place His judgement on it. Am I wrong? Show me. It's a sin He treats like no other. I have always believed that God has held back His judgement upon the U.S. because there were was still a remnant of true Christians in it. Now most of our so-called 'pastors' ands their flocks are going the way of Jason Harper in the article above, pandering to devils, and we as a nation are about to suffer the severe consequences.
Good point kenny, perhaps i shouldn't have taken the liberty of comparing the sins of overeating and smoking and drinking to homosexuality. God did say it was an abominable sin. But, I don't know of any city destroyed under the new covenant of Jesus Christ either.

Is it a corruption of the gospel? Do you tell alcoholics that they are welcome in church, but they have to dry up first? Or do you tell someone that is a glutton that they can come to church and hear the word, but have to stop eating, smoking, etc? How do you expect anyone to change if they are not welcome in the environment? I don't feel that this was Jesus message.
This is a problem. You can't preach half of Jesus and expect homosexuals to be saved while continuing to live that lifestyle. That's akin to corrupting the message entirely.
