Bono, Tony Blair to lend their voices at church conference on leadership
Although Bono and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair might be considered unconventional choices as featured speakers Friday at Willow Creek's church conference, organizers say they are a perfect fit.

Inviting such high-profile people such as Bono and Blair is part of the summit's attempt to seek out the best leadership advice, organizers said.

"We have been failed by the lack of credible leadership in our financial institutions, in our companies at times, even in church and the government," Mellado said. "We have got to have these transformation-minded leaders equipped, inspired, so they can change and influence all the spheres that they touch." ...

Some time ago Tony Blair converted to Roman Catholicism, so does that make him a good choice for teaching leadership? Seems like it would disqualify him, but apparently not at Willow Creek.

This choice clearly demonstrates that they are not really interested in the truth...

May God have mercy on the people that make up Willow Creek and may He open their eyes and ears to the true Gospel.

While on tour in 2005, Bono led the audience in this chant, 'Jesus, Jew, Mohammend - all true!' As for his faith, he states, 'Look, on the God thing, I have to be really careful because I'm not a very good advertisement. I don't want you to sit there and say I'm a man of faith. I just read in one of Saint Paul's letters, where it describes all the fruits of the Spirit, I realize I had none of them'. -- from an article written by Jan Markell entitled, 'When Evangelicals dine with the Wicked'http://www.olivetreeviews.org

I don't think very few people now consider Willow Creek Church much of a Christian organization, for they are Nullifying the Gospel's Saving Power and others like it. Does God Want Us to Be Rich? TIME Looks at Prosperity Theology.

No mention of God, Jesus, heaven, hell, eternity, sin, salvation, in this article about a church leadership conference. I guess church means something different to them.

""We have been failed by the lack of credible leadership in our financial institutions, in our companies at times, even in church and the government," Mellado said.""

Wonder if these folks will ever find out what Christianity is all about??

Liberals like Blair and rock singers like Bono might teach them worldly issues and affairs, but from a Christian perspective they are definitely barking up the wrong tree.

They appear to be entrenched in worldliness but are using Biblical terminology without truth.

Col 2:8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ
