About 800 pages of the earliest surviving Christian Bible have been recovered and put on the internet.
Visitors to the website www.codexsinaiticus.org can now see images of more than half of the 1,600-year-old Codex Sinaiticus manuscript.
Fragments of the 4th Century document - written in Greek on parchment leaves - have been worked on by institutions in the UK, Germany, Egypt and Russia.
Experts say it is "a window into the development of early Christianity".

Michael, I hope even if your mother has a Catholic funeral, you or your pastor will have a chance to present the actual Gospel. My mother had a friend, who had a Methodist funeral, and her grandson at the graveside quoting from the Bible also presented the Gospel. It was thought provoking, the only thing we can hope for in such circumstances among the unbelievers.

I don't know (for certain) what her relationship was with the Lord; PERHAPS she came to be "born again" in her final days. That's my hope.
But my prayers are now fully with you and FOR you as in the next few days you will be attending a Roman Catholic Mass and funeral service and will have to put up with hearing all the Catholic nonsense concerning your mother's passing. It will be my prayer for you that you might bear up against the lies and find the strength to proclaim the truth of salvation in Christ alone to MANY of your relatives and mother's friends. Believe it or not, this is a wonderful time for you to give out the Gospel. It's the ONLY time, for example that my father was even faintly open to hearing the REAL Gospel -- soon after my mother's passing. Have courage. Proclaim the Truth. NOW is the time that perhaps others will listen. That's been my experience.
