Christians risk rejection and discrimination for their faith
The first poll of Britain's churchgoers, carried out for The Sunday Telegraph, found that thousands of them believe they are being turned down for promotion because of their faith.
One in five said that they had faced opposition at work because of their beliefs.
More than half of them revealed that they had suffered some form of persecution for being a Christian.
The findings suggest a growing hostility towards religion in this country, which has been highlighted by a series of clashes between churchgoers and their employers....
This notice is to inform and warn those in Christ of discriminatory action taken against a child of God for his faith, belief, and allegiance to the Lord and King Jesus Christ. The perpetrators are individual living souls who perform work for Webster Electric Cooperative in Marshfield, Missouri, and at this point specifically the office manager Bobbie Ragsdale. Bobbie had unashamedly denied me electric service because it violates my conscience and the way of God to provide a social security number in exchange for electricity. Not only has Bobbie discriminated against me by forcing me to conform to her beliefs and the established state religion by using said number, but she has also discriminated against my wife who is six months with child, plus our four young children. Please email for more information. A report is currently being prepared. These people and the many like them need serious help. Do pass this along and warn the brethren of these particular enemies of God (who think they doeth God service).
Of course, Christians should expect persecution (2 Tim. 3:12). But there is another side to this, especially when it comes to business. It is foolish for a company to reject someone simply because that person is a Christian. Instead, they may very well hire someone who seems outstanding but turns out to be a bad employee because he/she does not follow the work ethic found in the Bible. Not very smart.
Matt 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
1Peter 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you
It is better that the Christian is identified as a stranger in the United Kingdom of Sodom and Gomorah!
