It is of historical importance to show the Judeo-Christian tradition of America, but for many Christians it's the Nine Commandments not Ten. I would also add they could shorten it up and make it Christian by,
Matthew 22
37 And he said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the great and first commandment.
39 And a second like [unto it] is this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
40 On these two commandments the whole law hangeth, and the prophets.
The Ten Commandments
That may be so, but by the law is the knowledge of sin, without that men will not see their need of a Saviour, so it is good to have those 10 commandments out there for everyone to see and be reminded that there is a God who has the right to demand obedience to His law.

Good for Oklahoma!

What we have here, friends, is a man that has enough courage and conviction to stand against the Bible-haters of America. He also seems to know something about American history and the Bible foundation upon which this country was built.
