Americans observed the National Day of Prayer May 7, but the White House gave it less attention than in the recent past.
President Obama issued a proclamation on the occasion but declined to host a prayer event, something that happened annually during the previous eight years.
Like presidents beginning with Harry Truman, Obama signed a proclamation, which is required by the 1952 law, though no event was held at the White House.
Why would anyone postulate that this presumptuous man would host a prayer event TO HUMBLY HONOR AND EXALT THE ONE TRUE AND LIVING GOD WHOM he does not "K N O W" personally/intimately ??? He has already made his case to the whole world that "AMERICA IS NO LONGER A CHRISTIAN NATION", as if he were reassuring them that they have nothing to fear from what once was a MORALLY UPRIGHT AND GOD FEARING PEOPLE.
That which has befallen America is the very same stiff-necked lackadaisically dismissive mind-set that occurred within the hearts of so many throughout the ages --- Yes, the American people are now coming face to face with their own self-inflicted situation that holds nothing but unfavorable choices due to this peoples unwillingness to "REPENT" AND RETURN TO THE HIGHER MORAL PATH OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH THAT THE FOUNDING FATHERS OF THIS ONCE GREAT NATION CLUNG TO FOR ALL THEY WERE WORTH --- THEY KNEW THE CONCEQUENCES OF ABANDONING THE SAFTY OF GOD’S PRENCIPLED ABSOLUTES !!!
IT SEEMS “We” HAVEN’T THE ..M O R A L .. F I B E R.. OF THE FOUNDERS TO STAND AND FIGHT FOR THAT WHICH IS UPRIGHT, JUST AND TRUE -- “We” HAVE BECOME “ReLiGiOuS” SIMPLETONS PARADING A DYSFUNCTIONALLY SHALLOW PIETY and "Our" SeRvAnTs in DC know it all too well !!!
He did what was required by the State Religion, and thankfully didn't go overboard on it like Bumbling Bush. By the way,
Gil Rugh said or, wrote: The Scripture is clear that God desires to have all people come to Him in prayer, but He has specified that they must come according to His instructions. Prayer is a privilege limited to those who have come to trust in Jesus Christ as Savior.
