The Republican governor of Vermont yesterday vetoed a bill legalizing same-sex marriage, only to have the state's Legislature override the veto today.
The bill passed easily through the Vermont Senate last month, 26-4, but the House approved it 95-52, just five votes short of the two-thirds majority needed in the 150-member body to override a gubernatorial veto.
The Associated Press reports the vote today to override the veto was 23-5 in the state Senate and 100-49 in the House.
The Lord deals with those who reject Him and live in the flesh in the past, present, and future. May He have mercy on all us sinners and those that forward the works of the Devil. It is sad to see our society falling into acceptance of sinful ideas all in the name of political correctness. I wish lawmakers and citizens alike would start quoting Bible correctness!! We need to return to what this country was really founded on, The Word of God! God Bless everyone, believers or not!
The early church had members who had previously been persons who practiced sodomy. But these became new creations, having died with Christ, died to their sin and their old self. Many Christians who have repented from sins of homosexuality need our prayers. It is supposed to be one of the most difficult sins to conquer and not fall back into, these are the reports I have heard. Many straight and "gay" persons will be thrown into everlasting punishment. But may it not be, may God draw them and may we pray for their Salvation.
God is just letting these sodomites fill themselves with wrath so that their sins will be complete when He reprobates them unto utter destruction and damnation.
Immorality and disinterest in what is in Vermont's best interests comes easily to their legislators. Homosexuality is not only against God's will, but just plain common sense should tell the unbelievers it is not beneficial to any region of the country.
Another push to further the homosexual agenda and diminish THE "TRUE" FAMILIY UNIT ------- THE MORE THESE REPROBATES ARE VALIDATED THE lower "We" WILL GO AS A NATION ....... FARTHER FROM ALL THAT IS TRUE, PURE, UPRIGHT AND GOOD, THAT IS, FARTHER FROM GOD AND HIS HIGHER MORAL PRINCIPLED WAY (HIS LAW FOR LIFE) !!!
