Pentecostal woman wins fight to not wear pants uniform
WASHINGTON — A Pentecostal woman who refused to wear pants as part of her bus driver uniform has prompted the region's transit system to implement new policies to accommodate employees' religious practices.

The woman, Gloria Jones, filed a complaint last September, claiming that she was not hired as a Metro bus operator due to religious discrimination, according to Steven Taubenkibel, spokesman for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.

Jones met the qualifications for the position; however, she declined to wear the pants required for the uniform because of her Apostolic Pentecostal faith. She made a verbal request to be allowed to wear a skirt, and Metro terminated her application. ...

Why do you state that you doubt that I will ever get married? Just because I am going to be the master of the house and the head of my wife? The Bible states that the husband is the master of the wife and the wife is subserviant to the husband.
do you even know what subserviant means?? it means INFERIOR....women are not called to be subserviant....they are called to be SUBMISSIVE due to the order of creation, not because they are somehow inferior....good grief don't be so uneducated.

Mathew Poole's commentary on the doctrine of the Nicolatians that God hates in Rev 2:6 is somthing like this: "a confusion of the basic society established by God".

Godly men don't let their wife's and daughters dress like whores.

Goofy question. Like asking "If men shave their faces, why can't women?"

Men wear kilts for two reasons [1] to get hitched. The other by some Scots because they are chauvinists. (Thats the real meaning of the word I use here, and nothing to do with gender jealousies)

Actually the modern kilt is nothing like the old traditional one which was worn centuries ago by poor peasants who couldn't afford anything else.

Again, let me reiterate, if you have women dressing 'suggestively' in your church; instead of shaking your finger in their face and laying down a dress code, share the love of Christ through the Gospel. That is what they need the most.
This kind of mentality, 'what's fair is fair...end of story!!!!!' will do more harm than good. Let's not forget the 'more excellent way'...love. If you care about the women in your local fellowship, you will approach them, in love, and give them the life changing gospel. You cannot change a person's dress until God changes their heart.

"In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array. But {which becometh women professing godliness}with good works" 1 Timothy 2:9-10
Women should not draw attention to themselves in any way, but, wearing dress slacks with a button up blouse would certainly not be drawing attention. To demand women wear dresses only is legalism, and borders Muslim belief {dressing a certain way}. Women have freedom in Christ, possess discernment {if they truly belong to Him}; which will keep them from going to church dripping in jewelry reeking of perfume, and painted up like a harlot.
To be clothed with good works should be their desire; as well as entering their place of worship dressed appropriately, sitting quietly as they listen, in submission, to the word of God.
If there are women dressing like hookers in your church, chances are, they have never been born from above. They need to hear the Gospel more than they need to be told of a 'dress code'.

John Yurich, stick to your guns. The issue is modisty.

I will no longer attend a so-called church were I have to avert my eyes.

What kind of a man would let his wife were tight paints and low cut blouse?

What kind of a pastor whould allow this? What is he looking at from his high pulpit?

How is it that we SAY that we believe in total depravity, but still make provision for the flesh? Do any of you men dare lie and say you don't struggle to look at a woman in tight and open clothes?

Further, I think woman are on a power trip with their sexy clothes, and men lack guts to put a stop to it.

This is a key issue of God-ordained order in home and Church; don't make it a side issue.

As well Romans 2:24; modern so-called christianity is a joke among the lost.

Men, the time to wake up is now. Rule, or put on a dress.

that just goes to show the state of your own heart that you found pew views *joke* funny.

To *laugh* at somebody being burnt at the stake just beggars belief, and i notice somebody must have reported it to be removed by the moderator.(Nope,it wernt me)

Unfortunately for you (and fortunately for me), you have absolutely NO clue as to what quality, aspect, or feature of *pew view's* "joke" made me chuckle. But here's a hint for ya: *Pew View* made a point through the use of absurdity and my automatic response to absurdities is ...................... laughter. Maybe you're wired differently and could only see the shocking visual of someone burning at the stake. Sorry, but my mind didn't go in that direction.

And I'll let God decide as to what state or condition my heart is in. But thanks for trying ... now go read Matt 7:1-5 and roll those verses around in your mind a few thousand times.

Of course, John, I would suppose you would never marry a Christian woman, because Christians are not supposed to marry non-Christians, just give her a copy of Marks of the True Believer, and she can make up her own mind what you are. Of course give copies of many of your messages that you left here to a devout Catholic woman, and she wouldn't want anything to do with a heretic to the Popish Church.

Humour? Laughter? Comedy?
NO.
Emphatically No!
None of the above!
This is about doctrinal oppositions!
Now remember folks there are only two religions in the world, God ordained one and man invents the other.
To those who perceived and understood I esteem!
To those who have not yet perceived I await!

Please provided scripture where the word "master" in terms of this relationship.

It says that You are to love your wife as Christ loved the church. It does not say anything about you bossing her around or ruling over her. You are to be a leader, not a slave driver.

All I am saying is, with the language you use, "allow" and "make her", I doubt that you will find any volunteers.
