Introducing haute Americana, one of the most powerful—and paradoxical—forces in men's sportswear. Until recently, men like Leung would've skipped the Woolrich for a skinny Dior suit. But in recent years a number of tastemakers, many foreign, have dedicated themselves to reviving iconic American clothing for a hip new audience. Some have collaborated with classic U.S. brands on revitalized products (see: Suzuki and Woolrich). Some have stocked hunting garb in their big-city boutiques. And some have actually begun to reproduce emblematic gear—Wayfarers, Penfield vests—to exacting standards of authenticity. The result—on ample display in places like Brooklyn, N.Y., and Portland, Ore., where certain streets now resemble catwalks crowded with bookish lumberjacks—is a subset of prosperous peacocks paying a premium for garments originally meant for mining or fishing, then wearing them to tapas bars and...

Thank you for your kind words and praise God the Father for the comforting songs of Zion penned by His servant and king David. May God's blessings abide with you and yours.

Lyn,
You, too, are a source of encouragement on these boards. We are able to comfort with the comfort with which we have been comforted from the Lord. Are we not? Blessings.
Jessica~Please know that the times spent in the 'valley' are times that draw us closer to Him, these trials and troubles are meant to refine us, polish us, and cause us to draw from His strength, for we have none of our own. We all pray for you, knowing our Great and Awesome God will be glorified through this 'valley'. Remember this, "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials" James 1:2 The Lord God is with you, He will NEVER leave you nor forsake you.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Psalm 23
My prayers and the prayers of many who know you are with you, Jessica.

Dear Jessica, The Enemy can do NOTHING to you but LIE. That's what he does best. He will accuse you of everything under the sun; bring up your sins and failings; attempt to kill you with guilt and shame; and make you *feel* hopelessly lost. Rebuke that Murderer by letting him know that you are WORSE than he can imagine! ... BUT ... it has ALL been taken into account and ALL PAID FOR by Christ's work on the cross for YOU!
Please KEEP FOCUSED ON JESUS and not on the accusations of The Enemy. And know that what you are going through is no uncommon thing among your brothers and sisters in Christ. I will KEEP you in my prayers and supplications as will many others who share your heavy burden.
But Christ WILL see you through this; it's His promise to always be with you and to NEVER forsake you no matter WHAT hell or The Enemy has to say about it!
ps: when you are weak, then you are strong! 2Cr 12:10 Shalom

Jessica,
"Weeping may endure for a night, but JOY cometh in the morning."
Jessica, battles are always won on our knees. Every Christian has had battles over which they had Glorious victories. I don`t dwell on defeat because ultimate Victory is assured. I`ll uphold you at the Throne.

Politicians dress like businessmen because it gives them a credibility thieves normally don't enjoy. What will happen when it becomes obvious that they know even less than the folks on Wall Street about how to grow an economy?
