Home for retired missionaries loses grant over 'gay' rights
A Brighton care home for elderly Christians has lost thousands of pounds of funding from the local council because its religious beliefs on homosexuality.
Brighton Council – renowned for its political correctness – wanted the home to ask its elderly Christian residents about their sexual orientation every three months.
Residents at the Brighton home are made up of 39 single Christians aged over 80, including former missionaries and a retired church minister.
Thank you. Your words are good and true, and yes, it is a good thing when the believers stand together against the common enemy. The Lord will surely keep his little remnant from falling, and comfort their hearts when all are against them. We stand firm because the Lord has set his love and grace on us. Hallelujah!
Thank you John UK. God's grace and peace to all the Welsh brethren as well! Isn't it wonderful that the growing enmity of the world towards us is only drawing the true believers in Christ closer together and above all closer to our precious Lord. It is so good to know that we are not alone in these dark times. God has His seven thousand chosen ones who have not bowed their knees to baal, and He has chosen them from every tongue and nation under heaven.

Yes I am sure you are right on this, and I agree wholeheartedly. It would appear that governments all over the world are becoming increasingly secular and opposed to an evangelical, ie. biblically based, church.
That apart, I wish all my Christian brethren and sisters in Switzerland a very joyful year, and may the joy of our Lord be our strength in these last days.

But a short testimony here: When I sought to get back to work after lengthy illness, becoming self-employed for the first time, I was greatly helped by guv agencies who had financial assistance from Europe, being given free business studies, free literature, and access to the tutors via phone or e-mail, plus free courses on how to fill in tax returns, and financial support. Sure, I nearly got in a big furore when, during one business study, I expressed myself concerning unethical practices in business, and that I would not be going the world's way just to make money. The tutor was wise enough not to argue. Maybe he got a little convicted of his sins. A Christian is an embarrassment to the world, because we stand up for values like truth and honesty and fairness.

"The council also wanted the home to use images of homosexuals in its promotional literature and show a Stonewall presentation on ‘gay rights’ to staff."
There is no doubt about it Satan and his horde of vile perverted followers are becoming more and more anti-Christian in UK today. These are dire times for the Christian and getting worse as the times go on. The above story makes me angry - yet that is not the means by which we as Christians have to deal with it. I pray the Lord will resolve the problem for these servants of His. As for the Brighton Council bureaucrats I pray that they will receive the truth about the abomination which they support before it is too late and they end up in hell. God is angry with them as HE records in Romans 1: 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
I've only visited Brighton once, to apply for a job as a church's caretaker. A few hours in that town was enough for me. It's one of the weirdest towns in England and should be renamed Darktown.
I don't think voting politicians out will cure it, others will do just the same. Besides, we've been so used to support from the guv (paid from our taxes), that maybe we've forgotten how to look after other (elderly) members of our Family.
We've sure got to get used to increasing isolation from mainstream antichrist Europe State. It can only get worse.
The Christians in Brighton should step in and meet the shortfall caused by Brighton Council's Intolerant and predjudice attitude toward christian men and women who have given their lives in the service of others. I'm sure the council continue to fund AIDS charities who care for men and women who infected themselves through selfish and irrisponsible behaviour. Or continue to fund Brighton Gay Pride with christian's council tax money!
Christians should rise up and vote out these moron politicians.

The early Church did not take the money of the heathen, why should we? They trusted in the God that owns the cattle on a thousand hills, why should not we? By the way there is no retirement from Christian service. We serve Christ to our last breath or we do not serve Him at all.
Lovely post!

Amen Brother. Either family members or the Church should support our own. That brings up another point. Should Christians follow the example in the book of Acts 4:32 And the multititude of them that BELIEVED were of one heart and one soul neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own but they had all things in common. 34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them and brought the prices of the things that were sold. We are admonished to take care of the widows and fatherless.
