Rick Warren: Opposed to gay marriage, not gay partnerships
Pastor Rick Warren, chosen by President-elect Barack Obama to pray at his inauguration, said in a video message to his church that he doesn't equate homosexual relationships with incest or pedophilia, but opposes redefining marriage just as any conservative Christian would.
Warren said that disagreeing with gay-rights activists on same-sex marriage does not qualify as hate speech and doesn't mean he is anti-gay. He said Obama chose him to give the invocation at the swearing-in to show that people with different views don't have to demonize each other.
"We're both willing to be criticized in order to try to bring America into a new day of civil discourse and to create a new model that says you don't have to agree only with your side on everything," Warren said in the video posted Monday night by Saddleback Community Church....
I am oppose to both gay "marriage" and gay "partnerships". To his credit, even President GWB said that he was against gay marriage and even "Civil Unions".
Whatever anyone thinks of GWB, at least he had enough boldness to state his position on this very divisive and controversial issue in America.
I emailed Pastor RICK and asked him if Jesus would speak at an anaugeration of a person who had a voting record against the unborn. I received no reply or acknowledgement.

Wise from Tennessee I don't know your thoughts behind, "We have come to the end of the road for slick Rick." If you meant his utter false teaching and false Christianity are open and obvious, sure.
I don't believe we've begun to see the end of him by any means. If anything those serving Satan (which heartbreakingly would include those selling his books in so called Christian bookstores, which are increasingly "gay friendly" in what they sell) will promote him and do their spin to give him approval even with homosexuals and sickeningly to give him even greater approval than he has now with "evangelicals" and ecumenists.
btw in light of the present violence in Gaza DON'T expect RW to be one who defends Israel's right to exist and opposes Islamic violence but show his skilled two-facedness in that matter as well.
