Rick Warren to give inaugural invocation
Barack Obama has selected the Rev. Rick Warren, the evangelical pastor and author of “The Purpose Driven Life,” to deliver the invocation at his inauguration, a role that positions Mr. Warren to succeed Billy Graham as the nation’s pre-eminent minister and reflects the generational changes in the evangelical Christian movement.

In a departure from past inaugurations, which usually feature operatic soloists, Aretha Franklin will perform. A quartet that includes Itzhak Perlman and Yo-Yo Ma will play a piece composed for the inauguration by John Williams, whose “Patriot” resounded during Mr. Obama’s election night celebration in Grant Park in Chicago.

Mr. Obama’s inauguration program, for Jan. 20, was announced Wednesday by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Celebrations. ...

Ever hear of wolves in sheep's clothing?

Ever read how Jesus Himself says:
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Rick Warren teaches to make yourself friends WITH the world this would make such a person an enemy of God. So for all his popularity and ordination RW remains what he really is A FALSE, VERY FALSE TEACHER.

I have no doubt that Pat Robertson is one of the very destructive ecumenical false teachers of this day

but what about yourself? The archieve of the Feb 17, 1986 DOESN'T show Pat Robertson in Freemason regalia (unless that is a suit and tie) and not being a mason I wouldn't know about his hand position ...it is an unusual one.

Besides all that this thread concerns Rick Warren (who claimed Obama would make a good president when he spoke at Saddleback) NOT Pat Robertson giving the invocation at Obama's inaguration.

Why the seeming "distraction"?

May I suggest for those who read these threads listening to Marc Monte's excellent message 'Islam America's Enemey Number One' ( I may not have gotten the title exact ) to listen how this pastor addressed the matter of Islam after 911. It is my opinion I or we can learn much from how he did so in an honest level headed and not hysterical manner bringing much of the Lord Jesus Christ into his message and Marc Monte's approach is one we might prayerfully apply in dealing with issues of such magnitude that apart from walking with the Savior we might get ourselves into a state of fear

Posters on SA seem not to be under an illusion regarding Rick Warren. He is a tool of the Illuminati, a gatekeeper as they say, member of CFR secret society working for the NWO, and Zionist liar, wolf in sheep's clothing.

I wonder if people also have considered the great destructive influence Pat Robertson has had on Christendom. A high level Freemason worshipper of the nightmarish god Jahbulon and Baphomet, Robertson ran the "family channel" for some 15 years, during which time never once was the truth about abortion ever shown, one Creationist film ever made or shown. Instead, he defended China's one-child eugenics, promoted the mass hypnosis fake Pop Christianity of swooning and emotional thrills, the obsession with ME-ME-ME, getting rich, getting healed. Never were activists promoted on his programs, secret socities ever exposed, Satanism confronted head on.

Because he IS ONE HIMSELF, a DEVIL WORSHIPPER, SATANIST. (sorry to be blunt, space does not allow anything but bluntness, and I don't want to sound like TLC)

Robertson was on the cover of Time in his Freemason regalia giving the Lions Paw hand sign.

Rick Warren and Richard Land are both CFR, One Worlders, Zionists, Illuminati shysters. Almost all these big megachurch leaders are frauds, wolves in sheep's clothing (not even a good disguise), and they practice many kinds of lies, deceptions, and even covert hypnotic techniques to manipulate and control people.

Mind control, a subject people need to look into. The Bible tells us the people will flock to the antichrist in the last days, that there will be mass delusion and deception, and Jesus kept on warning, do not be deceived.

Learn about this stuff. The movie the Matrix, which I've not seen, is fiction but it tells a true thing about mass illusion and delusion.

Americans are like Hansel and Gretel who wandered into a witch's house because of all the nice candy, and we're about to get pushed into the oven.

As I do not know the intent of your post and whether or not you are referring to Rick Warren I will do my best to be clear in my post. Rick Warren is one of the foremost false teachers today. His teaching is horrific in that at its very foundation he teaches (this is false teaching) change your church to be pleasing (appealing) to the world, bring in the music the world likes, the events the world likes, even the politicans and celebraties the world likes, "preach" to felt needs and avoid genuine Biblical doctrine like the plague and remove anyone who opposes the take over of your church by wolves in sheeps clothing...so that you may have a big congregation of people who forsake truth for unity and celebrate the pleasure they have (and don't forget support financially) in being part of a church that pleases them. Now for those who would know better

Born again, I hope you truly are! Though I do believe "the rod" doctrine is false, those that adhere to it seem in my opinion to have the desire to serve the Lord faithfully, unlike so many others. There's a brother I knew a few years ago that ended up accepting this teaching, so I did look into it. I don't think I have any bias because I do not desire to try and live a sinful life as close to the world as possible while still being found worthy of eternal life. So after learning a bit about the doctrine I just couldn't be convinced that it is scriptural. I read the battles between Joey and Herb Evans (I believe that's his name), reviewed some of the material at the kingdombaptist site, and read other forum debates as well. I eventually let the matter go because I didn't think serious involvement was worth my time.

Did you have another psedonym? Just curious.

As for Walt, I used to enjoy his postings. Believing him to be a credible Christian, his committment to reading the Bible-only(at least through in a year I believe)shows his commitment to truth. I probably would enjoy listening to his call-in comments.

Yes, I do believe that many churches are compromising today and falling to the wayside.

Ken Copeland flashes the devil hand sign, Jesse DuPlantis praises Satan verbally. Pat Robertson is a devil-worshipping Freemason, also flashes the el diablo, posed on the cover of Time in his Mason regalia and lion's paw pose. Schuller is a Freemason and Billy Graham 33 degree. They practice hypnosis on their crowds, Benny Hinn being one of the best at that. Between the hypnotic suggestions and the demonic spirits, the sheep are led to the slaughter.

The church is a scary place nowadays. Texe Marrs and Walter Veith are the only honest men of God I know speaking the truth. How many people postingon SA even go to church? Very few, if any.

Remember Walt from Michigan now listens to Alex Jones and I've heard him call in to the show a few times. I doubt he goes to church at all.

The ones who do go to church are screaming for war, so it shows the state of the church. How could dreamy eyed pastors with Mona Lisa smiles be able to stir up such hatred and blood lust in their people?

Churches beware!

How many today have semi-adopted seeker-sensitive approaches?

Friendship evangelism;Forty days of purpose;blended music services with CCM eventually dominating, etc.

Jesus seeks to save sinners - sinners are not seeking the Savior.

As far as the so-called "felt needs" of these seekers; lost people's needs are all of the same, all over the world, all through the ages -
the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD!

Through a false CGM speaker.
The lost so-called church seeker.
Ends up no more the meeker.
CGM - all the more weaker.
Purpose-driven numbers.
Onward it slumbers.

We and me have to remember this country will reap what it sows. Only 4 yrs of my 50 years has been spent with Jesus and only 5 months has Jesus been the head of my church(501c3 non profit tax exempt corporation) Abortion clinics are 501c3 just like most of our churches today, the falling away is here, the one world church is here. Wake up Christians your pastors are probably wolves in sheeps clothing. Listen to Scott A. Johnson, Edward Watson, Joey Faust, Michael Slattery here on sermonaudio. So what better combination then Obama and Warren. A match made in ? I have to remember that we are ALL made in Gods image and no matter how evil you think someone is never say anything evil about that person but pray for them like someone did for our filthy selves. Hard to put into practice but Gods Word gives us the way. Pray, Pray, Pray for our country, amen!

What a beautiful and tragic testimony to the struggle of 'serving mammon and God". I praise God that I am not in a situation of temptation like this. A simple matter of, 'there, but for the grace of God...'.

Right Jim...

The "gospel" promoted by Warren is the social gospel of doing good to people in the world, hoping they will join the church of "2 billion followers of Christ" as he states.

I am afraid his battle with global warming is wasted breath, since we are now in a COOLING period of CLIMATE CHANGE caused by the sun. The Bible states that the seasons will not pass away so the twilight zone idea that the earth will get hotter and hotter like some kind of planetary oven is just not reality.
He SHOULD be preaching about the day of the Lord when the elements will melt with fervent heat in the day of God's wrath, but I am not sure this fits the "God loves you" and never-gets-angry-with-anyone-message so popular today.

Not to be funny, but will he show up on January Inauguration day in the middle of winter wearing a golf shirt or an Hawaiian shirt?
