Archbishops attack 'bank robbing' share traders
The bankers and traders responsible for the recent financial crisis came under fire today from both of England's Anglican archbishops.

Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams called for fresh scrutiny and regulation of the financial world, arguing that governments should not lose their nerve when deciding when to intervene.

Writing in The Spectator, he said: "It is no use pretending that the financial world can maintain indefinitely the degree of exemption from scrutiny and regulation that it has got used to."

Archbishop of York Dr John Sentamu, meanwhile, branded the traders who cashed in on falling share prices in troubled bank HBOS as "bank robbers" and "asset strippers". ...

Engineer, I have no disagreement with you that Rowan isn't a Christian, and he gives a lot of bad advice, e.g., The Archbishop and Sharia.

The U.S. didn't seem to heed the problems that the Britain had in its mortgage markets, years ago, and even over two years ago, nobody in our government paid attention to such articles like this one, The Impact of Variable Rate Mortgages

Archbishop of Canterbury backs evolution
The Archbishop of Canterbury has condemned the teaching of creationism in schools. ..Rowan Williams said the Biblical creation stories do not belong in the same category as evolutionary theory.

Apostate snake Rowan's 'truth of the Universe'-evolution -leads to bankers living by the 'survival of the fittest'.

Hey, it is a dog-eat-dog world out there Rowan! You've already given up on the wordS of God, starting from the 1st verse!

Rowan's just doing buisne$$ Jn 2:13b
"Jesus went up to Jerusalem. And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise."

Mtt 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

...7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand.."

Hi DJC49,

I went back to his posting record and I see that he even has self replies. I see where "Democratic Conservative" has been applauded by "A Populist Progressive". Hmmm. Hard up for attention...I think so.

Glad to see you back.

Hello DJC49,
You are right. We need to hit the abuse button against such ranting.
Hi Hidemi!

Hey ... I'm NOT against anyone ranting. Everyone is free to express his opinion even though it might come off as a rant. But like many others here, I don't want to see that same "rant" plastered everywhere I might read!

Early this morning I got up and went through the threads only to find the SAME IDENTICAL POST authored by *A Populist Progressive* copy & pasted on 7 different survey topics! It's on 1) this thread (9/27/08 2:59 AM), and on threads entitled:
2) Officials Try to Stem Financial Crisis; Fed to Meet
3) Pelosi: Dems bear no responsibility for economic...
4) Bush: 'Our entire economy is in danger'
5) Washington Mutual is largest U.S. bank failure in...
6) Lehman Brothers files for bankruptcy and Bank of...
7) With Wall Street in turmoil, some turn to religion
and in it's preliminary form on:
1) With Wall Street in turmoil, some turn to religion (9/25/08 9:57 PM)
2) Bush: 'Our entire economy is in danger' (9/25/08 9:29 PM)

I say: "Enough already!"

In my estimation, Christian Warrior, these survey threads are "self-policing." The good people at SermonAudio.com have enough to do besides strictly monitoring these boards for policy violations. Therefore, even REPEAT offenders like *A Populist Progressive* (and his numerous other aliases -- *A Democratic Conservative* being one of them) get away with CONTINUAL violations concerning spamming, trolling, cross-posting, and copying & pasting posts over and over and over.
His latest C&P effort (as seen in post 9/27/08 2:59 AM below) appears in SEVEN different threads this morning!!! Obviously, this offender wants attention and/or responses. What he REALLY needs is prayer ... or a few weeks of probation from posting here on SermonAudio to WAKE HIM UP!

Neil, England still has a state church because it has a state religion - "Liberalism"

Anarchy (ie Liberalism) starts in the church as rejection of Scripture law and doctrine.

This is followed by anarchy in the state, eg: Moral anarchy, social anarchy, judicial anarchy, political anarchy; - hence all is Liberal - an epidemic disease which affects deasant life and destroys leadership, truth and common sense.

It is no use pretending that the clerical world can maintain indefinitely the degree of exemption from biblical scrutiny and biblical regulation that it has got used to.

May true reformation sweep through the professedly Reformed churches. All of them!
