Blair becomes Yale religion professor
NEW HAVEN, Connecticut (AFP) ‚ÄĒ Former British prime minister Tony Blair, describing himself a terrible student, went back to school Friday as religion lecturer at top US university Yale.

Blair, who converted to Catholicism after leaving office in 2007 and talked increasingly openly of his Christian faith while prime minister, delivered his inaugural lecture at the prestigious college in the state of Connecticut.

An enthusiastic audience of more than 2,000 students later thronged ornate Woolsey Hall to hear a talk by Blair, who stepped down after a decade in power, under fire for his strong support of the US-led war in Iraq. ...

Blair is the most wicked, anti-Christian prime-minister Britain has ever had. Since coming to power in 1997, he has enacted more anti-Biblical laws than all our previous leaders put together!

Oh, and know this Tony: that your willingness to engage in this immoral war against Iraq has meant that the Christians, who had a fair degree of freedom under Saddam, are now suffering terrible persecution.

Why didn't you and Bush invade Saudi Arabia? At least you'd have been more likely to destroy one of the real power-bases of Muslim terrorism.

Oh how wonderful!
This should make a very real difference to religion in the US of A.

PS. You guys across the pond can keep him if you want.

Tony was not only a terrible student, but of course, he will be a terrible teacher, Is A Catholic Christian An Oxymoron?, but then Tony has a lot of strange beliefs, Analysis: Blair the believer, but no matter what he does, he's well-paid, Blair goes back to school -- as Yale religion prof, similar to the one pointed out by SermonAudio, but no mention of Tony's most controversial act, becoming a Catholic.

First I starve a country with sanctions, causing tens of thousands of children to die from preventable diseases. Then I make up some nonsense about weapons of mass destruction which all my advisors in MI5 have told me don't exist. Then I invade and bomb this third world country back into the stone age. Then I act surprised when the different factions who hated each other start killing each other and killing my own fellow countrymen who I have sent to kill them. Then I act even more suprised when this backwards country isn't grateful for me bombing them and killing them.

Having lied, bombed and murdered untold numbers, I really believe I have earned the right to start lecturing others on the virtues of loving your enemies, turning the other cheek and extolling the virtues of the Prince of Peace.

Thank you for being too stupid not to see the hypocrisy of this. Thankfully, my mate Pope B XVI let me into his sect, forgave all my sins and now I don't have to worry about being accountable to God for my crimes.

Lots of love and peace,

Tony
