Daniel Vaughn, son of Dr. Vaughn, dies in collision
(Editor's Note: The man involved in this tragedy was the son of Dr. John Vaughn, one of our broadcasters at Faith Baptist Church in Taylors, South Carolina. Please pray for the families affected by this loss.)

The family of a Taylors man was making funeral arrangements Tuesday after he was struck by two cars while crossing Wade Hampton Boulevard.

Daniel Wayne Vaughn, 28, died from blunt-force injuries at 11:09 p.m. Monday at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville County Deputy Coroner Karie Cain said.

Vaughn is the son of John Vaughn, a Greenville Police Department chaplain and founder of Hidden Treasures Christian School.

"He was a brilliant young man -- brilliant and full of life," John Vaughn said. "He brought much laughter to the people who knew him and loved him."

I have tears in my eyes as I write this. Such a heartbreakingly sad story. May the Lord comfort Dr Vaughan and his family.

When a tragedy like this happens we are all devistated and sad but we are told in Hebrews that He (Jesus) will never ever leave us nor forsake us. With this in our hearts we find comfort in the Lord, and I know that the Lord will be with this family and guide them through this sad time. So from Scotland "May the Lord Bless you and keep you and make his face to shine upon you, and give you peace"

Only God can be a refuge and strength during a time such as this, but often it helps to know that others are uplifting you in prayers. Brenda, you have touched many lives here at Sun & Shield Baptitst Church, and we want you to know that we are praying for you and your family. No one knows a mother's heart like Jesus, and no one can be as great a Comforter as He. We are praying for His grace to be very real during this trial.

May the Lord draw near to the family of this young man during this most difficult time, may He comfort them as only He can. May we all pray for strength for this family to get through this.
