Every other week it seems a new study comes out that adds to our already-formidable arsenal of parental worries. But even by those escalating standards, the report issued last week by the federal government's National Center for Health Statistics contained a jaw-dropper: the parents of nearly one of every five boys in the United States were concerned enough about what they saw as their sons' emotional or behavioral problems that they consulted a doctor or a health-care professional. By comparison, about one out of 10 parents of girls reported these kinds of problems.
The report confirms what many of us have been observing for some time now: that lots of school-age boys are struggling. And, parents are intensely worried about them....

Could you provide a link? An actual scientific study? A non-pharmaceutical organization that without a doubt refutes those that say vaccines 'may' have something to do with the rise in PDD cases? I would much appreciate it. T I A! - - - Hidemi quote: "Will you hold your anger forever? Shouldn't a stronger brother lift up the weaker one? Just a thought- If there is a relatively recent rise in autism, and there is a supposed connection to vaccinations, why wasn't there a rise decades earlier? Vaccinations have been around for quite some time.
I think the previous argument suffers from the 'does not follow' fallacy. And it's "more stupid," btw.
I would love to see someone with courage write whether vaccinations have anything to do with the rise in autism or any other PDD. Someone with access could get the information and compare the number of incidences of ADHD in boys today with those 10 years ago and sort the data to see if there is a co-relation between vaccinations and PDD (Pervasive Development Disorder).
This article does NOTHING to explain the cause of the problem and I believe it purposefully disregards possible other causes. This, to me, is evidence of corporate media cover-up.
Stress-related ADHD...possible? Sure. The question is: How probable?
I know that Big-Pharma makes billions selling their drugs but when is enough, ENOUGH!
Seems having a population of sick people is better for the economy than being blessed with physical health.
