Bradley Fowler says the biggest misconception about his lawsuit against the world's largest Bible publisher is that he has a problem with the Word of God.
In the suit, Fowler, who is gay, claims he began experiencing mental anguish and medical problems in 2007 when he came across several Zondervan-published Bibles that used the term "homosexual" in certain Scriptures, particularly 1 Corinthians 6:9.
"When I realized what they had done, I was so furious that I couldn't sleep for at least two days," he said, noting he feels the term was added to push an agenda. "This is a sacred book and the Scriptures say that no one is to add or take away (from the Word)."...
I wonder what god this man is talking about when he says "my god thinks that my lifestyle is okay". He sounds just like a spoiled child when he doesn't get his way. If he's honest, he knows that the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation condemns this abominable lifestyle. His comments sounds like, "Oh, you've hurt my feelings so now I'm gonna sue you". The Bible wasn't created to make us (or you) feel good, sir, but to convict us of our sins before a holy and righteous God. YOu'd better get to know Him, sir, before your eyes close for eternity.
Man! He said a mouthful there! That's every heretic's reasoning.
There is a different problem here and that is this: the judicial system, if this case is allowed, will make the determination as to whether a Biblical translation of a word from the Greek to the English is a valid one or not. How far do you suppose that will go? "Separation of Church and State," what's that?
Oh, no! another King James Only supporter! He better not use the Strong numbers however, which is a necessity for the KJV, he isn't going to like #733, The Bible Says Homosexuality is Sin.
"Nothing in my body tells me that I'm wrong. To the public, it seems that I made it this far alone but my God has directed my path."

I think Mr. Fowler should run for the office of President. Both Bush and Obama have verbally expressed similar, if not almost the exact same, sentiments.
Anyone, including you, including me, can take a verse from the Bible and essentially justify any or all of our actions, beliefs, traditions, convictions, paranoia, neurosis, fears, joys, etc. This means that anyone can USE the bible for his own ends. Study history and you will see this is so.
So...how do we know if someone is sincere? I'll end with Peter Taylor Forsyth quotes:
"The Bible is there for the Gospel, not for scientific proof. It is for moral power rather than for systematic truth."
"The church is not the judge of the Bible; the Bible is the judge of the church."
"The Bible is its own judge. The Bible is to interpret the Bible."
The Efficiency and Sufficiency of the Bible, no date (sorry but I think it is around the early 1910s).
Well one thing the modern versions need to be commended for, is the translation of arsenokoitēs in 1st cor 6-9 is definitely better than the kjv “abusers of themselves with mankind“, isn't the same especially in today’s world, as men who practice homosexuality ESV.
And, if God did not spare Sodom and Gormorrah and the cities of the plain by raining fire and brimstone upon them, surely those who practice those things mentioned in 1 Cor.6, will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
Sorry, Sodomites, you can not have it your way. May you all repent and take God's way, which way is the only way.
I guess this homosexual wants a new revised gay Bible. One that will condone his sin and evil lifestyle. Maybe he'll find some manuscripts to support his new version in the area where Sodom once stood.
