Todd Bentley, the Canadian revivalist whose tactics drew protest from some fellow Pentecostals, has resigned from public ministry after acknowledging an ''unhealthy relationship on an emotional level'' with a female staff member.
The board of Bentley's Fresh Fire Ministries announced the resignation on Aug. 15, saying the pastor has agreed to ''receive counsel in his personal life.'' Days earlier, the board of directors had said that Bentley, 32, and his wife, Shonnah, had separated.
Bentley, tattooed on the fingers and neck, has drawn international attention for leading his raucous revival meeting in Lakeland, Fla. It has continued for more than three months....
The Holy Spirit is on the move. He’s working in the minds and mouths of the false prophets. BAM! They’ve fallen and they can’t get up.
On June 23rd God moved a mountain -- figuratively speaking -- and the Charismatic church has been in chaos ever since. That day several of the New Apostolic Reformation leaders met in Lakeland, Florida for Todd Bentley’s "apostolic alignment commissioning service." What happened was mind-blowing. I’m not talking about miraculous signs and wonders. There was no gold dust, no oil soaked hands, no angels with shimmering clothes and bright blue eyes hovering on stage. There was none of that -- but there was a whole lot of shakin’ goin’ on!
Such notables as C. Peter Wagner, leader of the International Coalition of Apostles, his wife, Doris, Ché Ahn, John Arnott, Bill Johnson, Rick Joyner and several others came to the 10,000-seat tent to support what Todd Bentley and Fresh Fire were doing and to commission him as an evangelist. There was only one problem. The leaders failed to put Bentley through a proper vetting process to find out if he was deserving of their high honor. Turns out he wasn’t. Now they have egg on their collective faces...
Where has the Word of God Gone To? "So beware, for there are many others who will lead you astray with their false teaching and their habit of leaving the Word hidden while they preach their own version of the Gospel. A few people in my humble opinion, who while being good men and women, whom I think you should be aware of are: Kenneth & Golria Copeland, Morris Cerullo, Jesse Duplantis, Fred Price, Rodney Browne, Rod Parsons, Benny Hinn, Paul & Jan Crouch, TBN, Daystar, Oral Roberts, Pat Robertson Joel Osteen and others."
"The True Word of God has disappeared from the pulpit in most cases. There are some who still preach the Word, but few indeed. And, the sad thing is that this type of preaching is beginning to be more and more prominant every day. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit must be saddened to no end as they witness this display of debauchery in our churches.
Please, do not take for granted everything you hear from the pulpit or the internet or anywhere else except the Holy Bible. Use the Bible as a measuring stick against everything you hear and you will know the truth for the truth will set you free!"
God has a way of exposing false teachers, just as His Word says: "Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was"(2 Timothy 3:8-9).
Jeremiah 23:14 sure fits for every false prophet who speaks by their own spirit and deceive by saying, "Thus sayeth the Lord". When will he be back on stage? When the money runs out. The false prophetess, Patricia King, is probably laying awake at night trying to figure out how to reimage ol' Todd. She's probably kicking herself for her failed counsel to him already. TBN will be at the ready to bring Bentley up out of the ash heap. He may marry this staffer and, bingo!, he's back in the good graces of his undiscerning fans. O.K., I am being fecetious. I do pray he comes to repentance and true salvation and has the courage to publically confess his evil deeds. With God it is not hopeless else I'd be in a heap of trouble.

else he'd die!
Jer 23:17-18 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you. For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it? Jer 23:31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.
Ez 13:3 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! Jer23:11 For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD. Jer 23:14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah. Is 9:15-16 The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail. For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
The name is not familiar to me, but he's the guy who "healed" someone of cancer by punching them in the stomach, in the news not too long ago.
Even by their standards, he didn't last long! This is about the quickest rise and fall I've ever encountered among a word of faith guy.
Now, he is going to "receive counsel in his personal life" - probably not from Paul Washer - so I wonder how long it will be before he is back on stage doing this thing?
