Franklin Graham unhappy with movie about father

Franklin Graham has criticized the new feature film about his famous Charlotte-born father, saying ``Billy: The Early Years'' includes a few scenes that never happened in real life and others that are ``greatly embellished.''

``My father's life has been documented in many ways and I have always appreciated those who painstakingly sought to tell his story accurately,'' Franklin Graham said in a statement posted Monday on the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Web site, www.billygraham.org.

The younger Graham, CEO of the Charlotte-based group, also made it clear that he and the BGEA neither collaborated with the filmmakers nor endorsed their movie -- due in theaters Oct. 10.

His spokesman, Mark DeMoss, said Tuesday that Graham put out the statement not to hurt the film -- ``he doesn't care if people see it.'' Rather, he worried that some pastors who have agreed to host preview screenings in ...

the whole history of Billy Grahams's ministry is a good warning and review of recent western church history of compromise: I just re-read it:

Why not just consider it the
"Living Billy" version ??--
as Graham was the one who really
made the Living bible popular: Blessing or Curse?

"In the movie's climax, Graham conquers any doubts about his faith in the Bible by telling God he will never question what's written in the Scriptures."

Every time he used the 'living bible'
he questioned what's written in the Scriptures if he didn't point out that he was just using a loose 'paraphrase'.

WHEN did BG's compromise begin?

His first book,Peace with God,showed this problem when he used the Phillips paraphrase, and didn't make a clear distinction between
translation and paraphrase.

He got sloppier and sloppier in not giving a clear word of God.

Now,he and his can't complain about a paraphrase of his life.
