Book on Mormon-led massacre opens old wounds
The date is etched in blood in Utah and Mormon church history and, on a more intimate level, the family trees of people like Karen Maxwell, a mother of eight and choir teacher from Salt Lake City.

On Sept. 11, 1857, Mormon militiamen led the slaughter of 120 men, women and children on a wagon train bound for California in an incident known as the Mountain Meadows Massacre.

Chief among the instigators was Isaac Haight, a local militia and church leader. Several generations later, Karen Maxwell would come to know of him as her grandfather's grandfather. ...

Sounds like wounds that need to be reopened when you are dealing with a cult, In the Line of Duty: Mountain Meadows. This is the way Mark Twain wrote about it, Appendix B. The Mountain Meadows Massacre. One just have to look on Mormonism as other cults, Roman Catholics, Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses.

Oscar-winner John Voight plays John D. Lee in this romance portraying the darkest hour in Mormon history.

"I had many to assist me at the
Mountain Meadows.
I believe that most of those who were connected with the Massacre, and took part in the lamentable transaction that has blackened the character of all who were aiders or abettors in the same, were acting under the impression that they were performing a religious duty. I know all were acting under the orders and by the command of their Church leaders; and I firmly believe that the most of those who took part in the proceedings, considered it a religious duty to unquestioningly obey the orders which they had received. That they acted from a sense of duty to the Mormon Church." (...Life and Confessions of John D. Lee..., p. 213)

Mountain Meadows massacre analysis ends with an accusation (SL Tribune, June 22, 2003) - "Brigham Young, as portrayed in Sally Denton's American Massacre, is a murderer and liar and commits treason. Her case is strongly stated."

Bad indeed, but just look at the massacre in doctrine. James White posted a 1.5 hr video illustrating just how bizarre Mormon theology really is:
Law of Eternal Progression
which implies that the recent PBS documentary The Mormons is a whitewash.
