You Still Can't Write About Muhammad
Starting in 2002, Spokane, Wash., journalist Sherry Jones toiled weekends on a racy historical novel about Aisha, the young wife of the prophet Muhammad. Ms. Jones learned Arabic, studied scholarly works about Aisha's life, and came to admire her protagonist as a woman of courage. When Random House bought her novel last year in a $100,000, two-book deal, she was ecstatic. This past spring, she began plans for an eight-city book tour after the Aug. 12 publication date of "The Jewel of Medina" -- a tale of lust, love and intrigue in the prophet's harem.

It's not going to happen: In May, Random House abruptly called off publication of the book. The series of events that torpedoed this novel are a window into how quickly fear stunts intelligent discourse about the Muslim world.

Random House feared the book would become a new "Satanic Verses," the Salman Rushdie novel of 1988 that led to death ...

Good Post!
Thank you for your encouragement. When I honestly look at issues like Islam, Catholicism and Calvinism and especially at the issue of sin I am utterly staggered at how much I owe God how undeserving I am to be saved and how desperately I need His grace, His leading, teaching, correction and strength.
Aisha's true life story is so utterly different than the true life stories that God Himself brings about in saving wretched sinners such as we making us His own children and bringing us to know Him and walk with Him and finally one day to be forever in the presence of His glory blamesless with great joy!
Amen to that,Michael,

You have a wonderful attitude and testimony coming out of the RCC. My closest friends have been Catholics. They befriended me and have taken me into their homes like a member of the family.

My heart just weeps for them all the time and I keep praying that they will call upon Jesus Christ to save them one day before they die. When I was with all these friends years ago, I didn't know the difference between Catholics and Christians. I was also backslidden, so it makes it very dificult for me now to persuade them of their error.

Thank you again for your testimony

Lustful Libertine&AISHA
Qur'an 33:1 "Prophet (Muhammad)! Fear Allah, and do not obey the Disbelievers and Hypocrites: Lo! Allah is Knower, Wise." A second translation says: "Prophet! Be careful of Allah and do not comply with the unbelievers and hypocrites." Allah is condemning "hypocrites," - the same people Muhammad has been assailing for being peaceful and disobedient Muslims. But in the context of this story on incest, it's lunacy for him to do so. Our boy was committing pedophilia while lusting for incest and Allah had the nerve to call his critics hypocrites! The greatest hypocrite who ever lived prevailed by projecting his own faults on those with the good sense to question his scandalous lifestyle.

Qur'an 33:2 "Follow that which comes to you by inspiration from your Lord: for Allah is well acquainted with (all) that you do." The last Hadith said that while engaged in pedophilia with Aisha, the prophet was inspired to commit incest with Zaynab.

Muhammad rebuked his child-wife's criticism for collecting an ever-increasing number of concubines, with a handy Qur'anic scripture. To which Aisha said, "Your Lord surely seems eager to gratify your desires."

You thought John Edwards bad??

TCa,
Since this is your first post on here assuming you have no other aliases, may I kindly suggest you go back and look at some of the "debates" that JD got into for the past four or five years. There are more important issues for me this morning than debating a person with no name about CH Spurgeon!

I kindly suggest you err in your comments. You generalise without naming names so please offer some evidence. Just who actually are these calvinists who do not trust the Lord Jesus Christ?

If I say C H Spurgeon is a preacher I admire above most men I still confess he is but a fallible mere man-yet any who have read the history of the gospel of Christ in England will undoubtedly admire England's greatest preacher. Have you read his own autobiography?
To say I am a spurgeonist though wouldn't be accurate- it might go some way to explain that my doctrinal beliefs are similar without my having to write my own autobiography here.

I know Michael H has mentioned that he likes C H Spurgeon too, so he knows a good preacher

Spurgeon was a calvinist and backed up his beliefs always with scripture-would that modern sermonaudio 'giant' JD have shamed him too? It is sad when one finds England's greatest martyrs and preachers (Tyndale, Bunyan and Whitefield etc) who were 'calvinists'- forgotten today by some self proclaiming biblicists who couldn't hold a candle to these servants of king Jesus?

'It could have been interesting fiction yet the real historic story staggers comprehension.'

Applied to Historic UK calvinism-read God's staggering work?

Please remember, that Muslims are a "peaceful" religion, that is why you have to go around after them "picking up the pieces!"

How they can keep growing and recruiting people into this Completely false religion of worshipping the sun god,"Allah" is beyond my comprehension. (For further proof how false it is, you never hear people saying, "Oh my Allah"! You can't take his name in vain because it is already vain! )

Michael,
It looks like JD has taken a Sabbatical so it looks like you are one of the few left here who are teaching sound doctrine through God's Word. Please be sure to pray before you post that the Holy Spirit will open their hearts and minds because Jesus Christ died for ALL not just a select few as they keep saying with no scripture to back it up!!!

JD has shamed the Calvinists here for the past few years showing their errors. Let's pray that those no longer here have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ and NOT John Calvin for their eternal salvation!

Keep on going as it is always very refreshing to read what you have to say, brother!

Yes, Michael, Muslim men due follow Muhammad's example. Even some "enlightened" Western countries are beginning to realize this, Sweden: Court ties murder attempt to Islam. The Muhammadans get their ideas from their leader, Banish Them to Their Beds and Scourge Them!.

Of course we have to worry about freedom of the press in this country. We know how Muslims treats anyone who tries to think in Islamic controlled countries, q.v., Blaming others. Writers either non-islamic world, Dutch legislator won't be charged for anti-Koran film, but one has to worry about the writer of the article of the WSJ article, be she an apostate Fear Stalks Muslim Apostates in the West or not.

It could have been interesting fiction yet the real historic story staggers comprehension.

A 9 year old girl who was still at the age girls would be playing with dolls is given over by her family and is sexually violated by a murderous demon possessed false prophet of 50 some year old (I don't know his exact age at the time).

This is really not a 'racy' but an almost unbelieveable horror story.

One which should cause any MAN with any heart for his daughter or any young girl to be appalled and makes me seriously question the character of Muslim "men".
