WASHINGTON — Citing changing demographics and a steady increase in complaints from people of faith, a federal agency last week released an updated compliance manual on religious discrimination in the workplace.
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission issued the guidance after consultation with religious groups, employers, and labor organizations. The number of religious-discrimination charges reported to the agency has more than doubled over the last 15 years.
Muslims have faced the sharpest increase in workplace discrimination of any major religious in recent years. Between 1997 and 2007, the number of discrimination charges filed by Muslims more than doubled, from 398 to 907. That figure peaked at 1,155 in 2002, in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks....
And agree with Daniel Lee Ford. Those kind of people like those girls are just pushing the buttons to see what kind of a riot they can make and get some money and help bring the downfall of Christian values. It is not hard to realize the United States has not been Islamic and should not be. And then to go to a liberal place like McDonald's and expect you will be OK with the religious clothing.
At first I anticipated from the headline that it would be a 'How to' manual rule #1. ONLY discriminate against Christians.
But no, then, reading the article, I read down below it into the comments:
In Detroit, Michigan two teenage girls were denied employment by McDonalds because of their hijab (head scarves). Did you ever wonder why these two women chose McDonald's as a place of employment KNOWING that the company required the wearing of uniforms which include a HAT? They don't want jobs there, they went knowing full well what the outcome would be and choose McDonald's because of the $$$ they could get from suing them.
And by the way, when will the religion of secular humanism (a religion from the U.S. court's own rulings) be balanced by the ability to give the concepts of intelligent design, and or creationism? That is BOILERPLATE religious discrimination law. religion of Secular Humanism being taught by tax $
