The Rosary Tapes have helped open the centuries-old tradition to other Christian denominations, according to former rock station disc jockey Bill Gildenstern and composer John Giaier, both devout Catholics. The Michigan-based music consultants have released the fourth CD in the set and have seen more than 1 million free downloads of an earlier CD.
"It's not a Catholic prayer, it's a Christian prayer," Gildenstern said. "We all have our traditions, but the bottom line is we're Christians. I see the rosary not as something to, in any way, replace our Sunday worship together, but rather as a way to bring prayer into other areas of our lives where we may typically not pray, such as while driving or exercising."
People with few qualms about listening to something from a different denomination will have no trouble getting into the Rosary Tapes, Zablocki said....
I must agree with your reference, Dr. Phil. Besides, the horse is dead. As simplistic as this sounds, no one can see what they are blind to, until they see it. Wipe the dust off.
Ah, Lance, you and G.G., do worship the queen of heaven. No doubt the Roman Catholic Church picked this name for Mary, because of it idolatrous worship of her, just as the Israelites did in an earlier time for their pagain goddess,
Jeremiah 7 18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead the dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink-offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. 19 Do they provoke me to anger? saith Jehovah; [do they] not [provoke] themselves, to the confusion of their own faces?
Ah, but we do need something closer to home, Mariolatry.
Sounds like progressive Catholicism. The Reformed churches got it right a long time ago...stick to the Pslams and other prayers in the Scriptures alone.
GG- did you read the words of Christ from Matthew 6:9? He gave us a 'model prayer'. Did you even notice His command to pray to the FATHER, not the Father + Mary. Your argument is not with me, but with Jesus Christ; you disagree with His teaching, for His word is His teaching. You cannot understand the glory, honor and praise due to God alone, because your whole heart is not committed solely to Christ; you are committed to the RCC and the teachings they uphold; that is why Jesus says to 'strive to enter by the narrow gate'. That means you can't drag your idolatrous mary, sacraments, mass, and all the salvation by works through that gate. You must come totally stripped, no excess luggage allowed. May the Sovereign God of all creation draw you to His Son, humble your heart, and save your soul.
Ahem! I have a novel idea. Why not let God decide what he thinks of this prayer and the person who offers it. That is...if that's OK with y'all[EA,DJC49]. Be sure and let God know, he's waiting for both of your permissions.

It is indeed a beautiful prayer ... in its sentiments. Too bad the prayer is totally inefficacious. Because if Mary is not both omniscient and omnipresent, she hasn't heard a word of it. Of course, you confer Divinity upon her and that makes it "all good."
Lance, it may be beautiful in your eyes, but it is an abomination to the Lord. "After this manner therefore pray ye, 'Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name" Matt. 6:9 Notice, Jesus never said 'Our Father and my mother'. "I am the Lord, that is my name. And my glory will I NOT give to another, neither my praise to graven images" Isaiah 42:8
There is actually a widely accepted alternate version of the Rosary for Protestants (who like the tradition but hate the blasphemy) that replaces the whole "Hail Holy Queen" prayer. I think the Rosary is a Christian prayer once that is removed. It's kind of like how I won't take communion in a Catholic church, but I will take the "Lord's Supper" when I am at a Protestant church. The fact is that I personally have a problem with the ideologies of our denomenations, be they Catholic or Protestant, because somewhere along the line the church will start following man made traditions rather than the Bible. The "Hail Holy Queen" prayer is just one of many problems that would keep me from joining the Catholic Church.
Traditionally, at the end of the Rosary it is customary to recite the "Hail Holy Queen", Mother of mercy, Our Life, Our Sweetness, our Hope, to Thee do we cry, poor banished children of Ever, to Thee do we send up our sighs, mourning & weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile show unto us the Blessed Fruit of Thy Womb Jesus, Oh clement, Oh loving, Oh sweet Virgin Mary.Pray for us oh Holy Mother Of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. So it's Christian and not Catholic eh? IN A PIG'S EYE !!!! It's blasphemous Papal poopery, along with the whole Rosary mantra.
