Can Britain Save Its Wayward Youth?
Britain is a rich country, but a sizable minority of its children live in squalor, their prospects occluded by their bad start in life. Social mobility is low compared to other advanced nations — 31% of children in inner London and 22% nationally are growing up in poverty, which will be deepened by spiraling fuel and food costs and a stuttering job market. More than 9% of 16- to 18-year-olds are not currently in any form of education, employment or job training.

It should come as no surprise, then, that youth policy dominates Britain's political agenda as never before. But what's really grabbed the attention of well-heeled parliamentarians is a spate of unrelated murders. What links the crimes is the use of a weapon — usually a knife, sometimes a gun — casually wielded because the victim had looked askance at his killer (most victims are boys) or offered some other insignificant provocation. Last ...

My husband and I were in London in the '90's during the month of February when a blizzard hit. We slipped into a beautiful old church building from which symphony music could be heard. When we sat down near the musicians who were practicing, we appeared to be the only ones present.

After a while, I looked around, and the building was filled with the homeless and destitute seeking a warm place. I couldn't help but think "for these Jesus came," and yet, this building no longer was a place to hear the gospel, but for social functions.

That picture is so remarkably clear in my mind.

My prayer is that the TRUE Gospel would be presented to a lost and dying world.

I am thankful for SA and its global reach towards that end.

You know what I find saddening. Every nation that ever rejects God, says goodbye to God, spirals downwards. It happened in the bible in the old testament over and over and over again to the Israel nation. The Sadducees and Pharisees acted their role to kill jesus to prevent their nation from being busted up, and you know what--because of what they did (their attitude), it just contributed to their nation getting busted up. As Pat Condell said, hardly anyone in Western Europe and Britian go to church anymore. America is saying goodbye to God, and look what's happening to it too. Any nation that returns to God rejuvenates, but you know--you can't make people bow to God, or some version of "God". They have to do it out of their own free will. Nebucanezzar tried to make the nation bow to his "fake God" but 3 boys stood up and said, we will serve the One True God.
It's just sad to watch this total social disintegration. Sad.

"Antisocial behavior . . . is first and foremost the responsibility of the parents," said Prime Minister Gordon Brown ahead of the launch of the Youth Crime Action Plan that was published on July"

Britain shocked by the "morals" of its youth??? The kids just will not behave themselves???

Well what do you expect in the UK of Sodom and Gomorrah. How I wish Gordon Brown and the parents could understand what that actually means.

Romans chapter one, V18ff, adequately describes and predicts the decline of Britain whether kids or adults.

18 "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness"

Ditch the Bible and do not expect God to bless your nation. And that is what the national churches of this nation have been doing for quite some time now.
