An international study on religion has revealed that the world's teenagers and young adults are much more religious than people think.
Crossing 21 nations, the Bertelsmann Stiftung's study surveyed 21,000 individuals to produce the most extensive and detailed comparative study on the significance of religion in the main cultures of the world.
Worldwide, more than four out of five young adults (85 per cent) are religious and almost half (44 per cent) are deeply religious. Only 13 per cent have no appreciation for God or faith in general....
Amenare a dime a dozen. Many great "religions" have been started by men such as Joe Smith, Muhammed, H. Ron Hubbard, etc. But God only came to address through prophets, the written Word & finally in CHRIST, the Eternal Son, Savior, whose life was not religious but life eternal.

Perhaps it doesn't refer to an organized religion but to a hunger for religion. Perhaps it points out that here is a field ready for the harvest which if not harvested by Christianity will yet be harvested by cults; by mysticism; by those who deify the mumblings of Nostradamus or Cayce or the Casseopians; by the devil. Hunger will feed on junk food if wholesome food if not offered. See Luke 14:23
