Evangelicals say McCain's the one
Dozens of Christian leaders meeting in Denver have concluded they should "get behind Sen. John McCain even if they didn't like everything about him" because the alternative, presumptive Democratic candidate Sen. Barack Obama, actually could oversee the criminalization of Christianity, according to a report.

The results of the meeting have been reported by Steve Strang of Strang Communications. He reported in his Charisma News Bulletin the 70 leaders assembled at the request of Mathew Staver, president of Liberty Counsel and dean of the law school at Liberty University.

"The alternative is so bad we must support John McCain," Phyllis Schlafly, founder and president of Eagle Forum, told the group, according to the bulletin. ...

Brethren,
The problems you so called Christians are having is classifying christainty into and liberal(generious)and
Conservative(traditionalism)The Law and not knowing the law.
Then, what is Jesus.?? Are we not to reach out to the sinners and not to distance from them. for years we have allowed all manners of sinful nature to take over our societies, and yet we stand by the way side to call names. Obama is that, Mccain is this. we have become God to condemn for hell and heaven. we look at one side of somebody's life and condemn.i support life in all aspect, but do we preach against fornication/ adultory.
Bible says we should pray for our Leaders and stand as their spiritual advicers not to choose for God.
YOU HYPOCRITES YOU WEAR CLEAN CLOTHS FROM THE OUTSIDE, YET YOU ARE DIRTY IN THE INSIDE. How many can condemn gay openly, you are scare? how many of you are reaching out in love than divion and hatred.

The Satanic-Vaticanists, in this 2008 US Presidential Election, are using the same "anti-'Liberal'" tactics that they used in Pre-Hitlerian-Germany and Pre-Fascist-Spain:
Go with Adolf Hitler he's anti-Socialist/Communist & anti-liberal (1933)!
Go with Francisco Franco he's anti-Socialist/Communist & anti-liberal (1939)!
TODAY:
Go with John McCain he's anti-Socialist/Communist & anti-liberal (2008)!
Hitler, the National SOCIALIST was never anti-socialist. The common thread running through the twisted minds of all socialists, along with their savior complex, is love of power, and control over the masses. NONE of them are worth the paper their memoirs are written on.

The "criminalization of Christianity"?

PLEEEEEEES !

What they're REALLY crying out is:

"The criminalization of Roman 'Catholicism'"!

And Their Steve Strangs (Charisma News Bulletin), Mathew Stavers (Liberty Counsel) & Phyllis Schlaflys (Eagle Forum) are Attempting to Pull The (Satanic-Vatican/"Jesuits") WOOL Over OUR Eyes!

AMEN TO THIS!!! Clearly they are making decisions out of fear towards man, which is a sin, and not trusting God to be in control as we obey His commands rather than give in to our cowardice. We keep "winning" with this strategy of voting and yet what have we accomplished???

I appreciate the question that has been posed - if Hitler and Stalin were the two running for President who would you vote for? Which is the lesser of the two evils??? (Hint: If you would actually vote for one of these men rather than sitting this one out, you do not understand the biblical qualifications for leadership and the necessity of sacrificial obedience to reap blessing.)

interesting how JOB figures in the conclusion of the article, contrasts
Job 1:8!
Job 34:29 When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only: 34:30 That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared."

“When tyrants sit in the throne of justice which under pretence of executing justice are hypocrites and oppress the people, it is a sign that God has drawn back his countenance of favour from that place.”Geneva Bible Note for Job xxxiv.30. Emphasis added. In the LXX, Job xxxiv:29-30 reads, And he will give quiet, and who will condemn? and he will hide his face, and who shall see him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man also: causing a hypocrite to be king, because of the waywardness of the people.

Job xxxiv.29.:Wesley
1 A NATION God delights to bless,
Can all our raging foes distress,
Or hurt whom they surround?
Hid from the general scourge we are,
Nor see the bloody waste of war,
Nor hear the trumpet's sound.
2 O might we, Lord! the grace improve,
By labouring for the rest of love,
The soul-composing power;
Bless us with that internal peace,
And all the fruits of righteousness,
Till time shall be no more.

Considering today's society where authority of all kinds is under attack, including God, His Son, the true church witness and Scripture, im surprised you brought up quote "authority worship"

However just to placate Mike

3 "For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil."

Jim Lincoln wrote:
Not voting at all

God Does Tell Us Who To Vote For

"... voting for our magistrates must be in God’s plan for a proper civil government.
..."
"Observe, and discern, Christian, your duties as a citizen of the City which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God, for whom may we lawfully vote – and vote accordingly. No more voting for the lesser of two evils. If no one qualified is on the ballot, voting is not an obligation. Non-participation in a fixed election is always permitted; or go to the ballot box to write in or vote “None.” Perhaps we ought to recognise “that when the nobles themselves favour manifest tyranny, or at least do not resist it, hypocrites reign through the sins of the people and by the permission of God; that these hypocrites may not be overthrown by any device, unless the people themselves turn to God in their hearts; and that is a task for bended knees, not arms and legs.”

Tony Borrelli,

Amen! I have a saying next to my desk from "Israel My Glory", which says,
"It is never right to do wrong to do right." This is the old evil - the ends determine the means. Our God is a holy God who never wavers and neither should we. Do not call wickedness good. We need to vote absolutely in terms of Biblical morality and if that means a no vote then so be it. We must be content with the future whatever it may hold. God is in control however we must unequivically make a stand for righteousness and rest in Him.

Job 42:2

If Americans understood their history, they wouldn't be looking for a King McCain nor a Messiah Obama to save them. It's not the president's job to save us, to provide for us, to tell us what to do. Seems like an old problem, this seeking after kings and false messiahs.

"This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you. He will take your sons and appoint them for himself...and to make his instruments of war...he will take your fields and vineyards and give them to his servants....he will take your men and maids and put them to his work....And ye shall cry out in that day because of the king which ye have chosen you, and the LORD will not hear you in that day." "Never the less the people refused to obey the word....and they said 'NAY, BUT WE WILL HAVE A KING OVER US that we may be like all (the other) nations'". 1st Sam.8.
Leave it in God's hands my friends. He does not need you to have His perfect will done on earth - even in the USA. Ye flatter yourselves too much as the agents of the Almighty. Learn what the Sovereignty of God really means and curb your political ambitions. The nations of Israel and Judah had many more evil rulers than Godly ones, but God kept His covenant with those who held Him in their heart. Ye seek an earthly kingdom built with hands, yet the kingdom of God is within you!
