Martian soil appears able to support life
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - "Flabbergasted" NASA scientists said on Thursday that Martian soil appeared to contain the requirements to support life, although more work would be needed to prove it.

Scientists working on the Phoenix Mars Lander mission, which has already found ice on the planet, said preliminary analysis by the lander's instruments on a sample of soil scooped up by the spacecraft's robotic arm had shown it to be much more alkaline than expected.

"We basically have found what appears to be the requirements, the nutrients, to support life whether past present or future," Sam Kounaves, the lead investigator for the wet chemistry laboratory on Phoenix, told journalists. ...

Minnow: it is even better:

A group of scientists got together and decided that man had come a long way and no longer needed God. So they picked one scientist to go and tell Him that they were done with Him.

The scientist walked up to God and said, "God, we've decided that we no longer need you. We're to the point that we can clone people and do many miraculous things, so ...."

God broke in and said, "Well, how about this, let's say we have a man making contest." To which the scientist replied, "OK, great!"

But God added, "Now, we're going to do this just like I did back in the old days with Adam. [Adam and Eve were there "from the beginning of the creation" (Mark 10:6)." ]

The scientist said, "Sure, no problem" and bent down and grabbed himself a handful of dirt.

God just looked at him and said, "No, no, no. You go get your own dirt!"

The Mathematical Impossibility Of Evolution :ICR

"Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee" (Nehemiah 9:6).

All "dust" can support life.

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

But unless God breathes life into it, then all you have past, present or future is just plain old dust.

Well, Tony didn't mean it this way but, re:
Tony Borrelli wrote:

Actually when dead, they become believers.(Luke 16:23)
Sagan the Pagan is NOW a believer, as is S.J.Gould, etc.

This article is like NASA proclaiming that they found salt on a rock , so this is proof that a Chocolate Cake factory will appear there soon (given billions of years)...
: see the mix of Sun, Water, air, environment documented here:
The Earth: Unique in All the Universe

By the way, try to overcome the math of THIS classic disproof of 'life occuring by chance':

Virgil's Aeneid, by Chance Alone?

(1) If all the people who have ever lived on earth worked 30 billion years, spilling letters at the rate of 1 trillion letters per second, they would not spill enough letters to make all the possible combinations of letters for the first line of Virgil's "Aeneid."
2. # of atoms in amino acids make it preposterous these have been arranged by random chance.
3.spontaneous generation,abiogenesis=FOOLISHness.(Rom. 1)

I remember similar hysteria over the "Mars rock" some twenty years age. Keep two things in mind: 1) These bozos need occasional publicity to keep the public funding coming into their lives so they don't have to get real jobs, and 2) They all want to disprove God before they die. The funding will continue, but they will all be dead before they disprove God.

I saw on one farm program, which answered if there ever was life on Mars (in a significant quantity), it was obvious there never have been, since plant life on Mars would make Mars like like earth, with the humus giving it a dark color.

However, after Nebraska farmers read this there are going to be a bunch of them that will go up there and homestead, and send ethanol back to earth! All they'll have to do is to figure out how to heat the place up, and get more atmosphere there.
