U.S. says military exercise by Israel seemed directed at Iran
WASHINGTON: Israel carried out a major military exercise earlier this month that American officials say appeared to be a rehearsal for a potential bombing attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.
Several American officials said the Israeli exercise appeared to be an effort to develop the military's capacity to carry out long-range strikes and to demonstrate the seriousness with which Israel views Iran's nuclear program.
More than 100 Israeli F-16 and F-15 fighters participated in the maneuvers, which were carried out over the eastern Mediterranean and over Greece during the first week of June, American officials said.
The exercise also included Israeli helicopters that could be used to rescue downed pilots. The helicopters and refueling tankers flew more than 900 miles, which is about the same distance between Israel and Iran's uranium enrichment plant at Natanz, American officials said....
Well, Robertson, won't because I don't think he has the proper Eschatology. However, we hope something will stop the election of the ultra-liberal McGovernish Obama the Savior. I doubt if much will happen, however, until The enemy has a name, and it isn't US. You have to remember quite a few Sunni Muslims would like to see Iran stopped, and they are the majority of Muslims. Russia, would make some noise, but they wouldn't do anything, since any war should make the price of their oil and natural gas go up. Go get 'em Israel, apparently you're the only one that will. Of course God may decide it is time to put an end to the USA, and one way to push that process along is the election of Obama.
The Neo Cons' plan to prevent Obama's election will be to have Israel make a preemptive strike on Iran. With Israel's "safety" at risk, the USA will be in a full fledged conflict in the Middle East. The argument will be made to "not shift boats in mid-stream", in other words, vote Republican, vote McCain, vote "Christian", vote Jewish etc. etc. If Russia gets involved then the Hagees, Robertsons, Lindsays, and LeHayes will soil themselves because they have not been raptured. We've been pushing this agenda for a long time, and the Israelis are going to give it to us in spades!
