Church of England told to stop watering down faith
The Church of England is divided over a proposed motion urging it to proclaim Christianity as the only way to salvation and offer strategies on how to evangelise Muslims.

Senior church leaders as well as some Muslim figures have voiced anger at the motion proposed by Paul Eddy – a lay member of the church’s General Synod, according to the BBC. Eddy, along with traditionalist Anglicans, argues that the Church should stop avoiding hard questions about its beliefs.

The Church of England must make it clear that it believes in what the Bible says about Jesus being the only way to salvation, he said. Currently training to become a priest, Eddy believes that being upfront about the Church’s beliefs will be helpful to Muslim-Christian relations. ...

Historical ignorance leads many to still think it capable of being a "church", when it has always been a persecutor of true Christians by its close association with government, which stands as a great warning against National Religion called "Christian".
Oh I don't know though?
J C Ryle was a good (Calvinist) Christian, therefore a true believer in the faith, and in Christ. I suppose this proves that if a Christian can serve in the world, then he can even serve in the visible church.

In Canada that would be classified as a "hate crime". I hope it's not the same in the UK.
"Freedom of Speech" was upheld in a vote in the House of Lords (thank God) and subsequently accepted by the UK-governemt - (teeth tightly clenched together ?) - otherwise it would have been.

Eddy won't go very far in the C of E, trying to confuse them like this and trying to bring back the Bible among them.
Minnow,

You are right. This presumes that they know what faith is in order for it not to be "watered down". As far as the Anglicans know, this could mean that someone forgot to take their Book of Common Prayer out of their pocket before going swimming.

It is refreshing to hear an Anglican state that the only way to God is through Jesus Christ!

The Anglican church has been corrupted by Liberal women wannabes, ordained and manipulating their way into teaching posts in Anglican Bible Schools, think tanks and ecumenical & multi-faith initiatives. They have their eyes on the top, waiting for the bishops to die, it want be long before they are dressed in purple wearing mitres and living in the Bishops palaces, being waited on by a male house keeper.

All that and I haven't even mentioned the sodomites vicars greasing their way to Canterbury or the High Church of England Catholic Brigade wwith their pathetic Corpus Christi parades and pilgrimages to Walsingham.

Cramner and ridley and all the refromation martyrs blood will not be in vain when our Lord comes again!

Yes, one does have to recognize the [url http://www.answering-islam.org/Books/Barton/11.htm]Inadequacy of Islam, URL=http://bibleprobe.com/muhammad.htm>Muhammad, could hardly have been a messenger from God. Mr. Eddy is right in that,

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name [Jesus] under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
