Church formally acknowledges Mary apparitions
PARIS (AP) — A Roman Catholic bishop said Sunday that the church has officially recognized that the Virgin Mary appeared to a 17th-century shepherd girl in the French Alps.

Speaking at Mass in remarks broadcast nationally on France-2 television, Monsignor Jean-Michel di Falco Leandri said he recognized the "supernatural origin" of the apparitions to 17-year-old Benoite Rencurel from 1664 to 1718.

The bishop, in an interview on France-Info radio, said the decision meant the church "has committed itself in an official way to say to pilgrims 'you can come here in total confidence."' The recognition process involved a panel of experts including two theologians and an investigating judge, he said. ...

Mary of the Bible would have been a moral degenerate -- if she didn't have sexual relations with her husband after the birth of Jesus, which of course she did, because she is not the Catholic goddess, Mary Worship?--A Study of Catholic Practice and Doctrine, and Mariolatry . Before 451 A.D., apparently Romish Church let Mary have other children.

that is passage in Pslams which was prophecy concerning Jesus Christ ties being an alien to His mother's children to zeal for His Father's house being a House of Prayer NOT a house of merchandise in John Chapter 2.
But then Roman Catholicsim isn't big on prophecy as it exposes their beliefs to be false and the judgment Rome receives of the Lord in Revelation and their need to repent & leave now.
Amen!! and Amen!!

It also should be added God doesn't listen to th prayers of unbelievers as a general rule, q.v., Prayer, and any that are not directed to Christ are completely ignored.
Gil Rugh said or, wrote:
The prayers of the saints are brought before God at the appointed time. The person and work of Christ enabled these to come. But he uses heavenly beings to convey them before the throne. This doesn't mean that you pray to saints or to angels. It means that the one who is our representative at the right hand of the Father, who ever lives to make intercession for us, according to Hebrews 7:25, ordains the time. Remember, He opened the seventh seal. And in His time, under His provision, the prayers of the saints are brought before the Father. In Revelation chapter 8, the solemn God of judgement is displaying His judgment on the earth. Are we describing nuclear warfare. I tend to think no. Because the point of the judgements of the seven year tribulation is that everyone will understand, this is a direct action of God.

How much more so if the saint is the greatest of them all, Jesus' own mother.
Jesus Christ instructed us to pray to the Father and ask it in His name, how much better can you get, and do you think God will prefer to listen to the saints more than His Son? I don't think so.

"Of course, you won’t be able to comprehend this passage since your cult will not allow you to believe the truth that Mary had other children."

Amen brother Dan!! A catholic argument is that when the scripture talks about Jesus's brethren, it should be interpreted as His disciples or followers(or they try to make a word play with the "original greek" and say that it means His "cousins" or "relatives" In Luke we find a clear distinction between "brethren" and "cousins".) But this passage clearly makes a distinction between the two, and destroys the notion of Mary's perpetual virginity.

Jesus, to whom she is much closer than we are.
“While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. “ (Mat 12:46-50)

Of course, you won’t be able to comprehend this passage since your cult will not allow you to believe the truth that Mary had other children.

Christians: Once again, we see an example of trying to describe colors to a blind man. It appears that the only good being accomplished by all of these replies to Lance is the edifying of the saints as they read them and are armed with Biblical weapons against the RC religion. We should at least be thankful that Lance presents his belief system on here for target practice. And we must remember that Lance himself is not our target – but his false doctrine.

Yes, Michael, prayer to her that she might pass our prayers on to Jesus, to whom she is much closer than we are.

Prayer to her, the one to whom Jesus committed us as he hung dying on the cross: "Son, behold thy mother."

I believe that all hell rises in fury at the very mention of her name.

Dan, Fatima is not forgotten because it was an authentic apparition of the mother of Jesus.
It wasn't for the sake of a demon that God provided a stupendous sign witnessed by tens of thousands of people within a radius of perhaps 30 miles.
Lets not forget that satan is able to perform miracles and lying wonders such as these, and the Bible is clear that divine revelation ended with the book of Revelation.

Lance, you would be better off sticking to RCC websites, you will not be able to lead astray those here whom Christ holds in His hand. No blood bought born again believer will come over to your side, trading the precious blood of Christ and the saving grace of Almighty God for apostasy, deception, rituals, make believe sacred tradition, idolatry, salvation by works...after all, salvation is a 'gift'...if you've ever received a gift, you should know, it is free, no hocus pocus necessary. May God have mercy on you, and open your blind eyes and deaf ears, humbling you and granting you eternal life, according to His word alone.

Spare us the lies from this false Marian vision Lance. How long must we suffer your anti-Christ words that you continue to write unabated as you openly mock the Son of God, deny the Father's election and blaspheme the Holy Spirit's regeneration.

You ears are seduced by the siren you call Mary and her voice is leading you pell-mell towards the shoals of eternal destruction. A voice likewise heeded by myriad throughout history whether it came from Isis, Demeter, Cybele, Diana, Venus, Semiramis or any of the other apparitions of the goddess queen of heaven. A voice that tragically even Israel gave ear unto.

Be it known that greater judgment awaits you as you have heard the truth time and time again yet you ignore it, deny it, mock it, and continue to cast stumbling blocks before the saints of God. Woe unto you if you offend one of these little ones that believes in Christ for it would be better for you to have a millstone hanged about your neck and that you be drowned in the depths of the sea.

'it's words from the mother of Jesus.'

Hey Lance;
On the basis of this papal instruction, who prays for and makes sacrifice for you?
It's not a papal instruction, it's words from the mother of Jesus. She is referring to those who do not know Jesus, but who might be saved if believers were to pray for them.

Oh, Lance, I don't know how often it has to be pointed out to you, as the other fellows already have, all of these apparitions are false and are of Satan, Mary Worship?--A Study of Catholic Practice and Doctrine. The sex-goddess, Mary, of course is the sex-goddess, for the Muslims as well,
Bishop Fulton J. Sheen wrote:
"through a summoning of the Moslems to a veneration of the Mother of God." He reasoned, "The Koran...has many passages concerning the Blessed Virgin. First of all, the Koran believes in her Immaculate Conception and also in her Virgin Birth. Mary, then, is for the Moslems the true Sayyida, or Lady."

(2Th 2:9) Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

(Rev 13:12) And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
(13)And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
(14)And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
