Archbishop of Canterbury says debt is crippling the young
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, struck out at Britainâs credit crisis today and said that debt was crippling young people and eroding family life.
Dr Williams attacked loan sharks who prey on the vulnerable. He also urged the Government to do something about the excessive salaries enjoyed by workers in the City.
The Archbishop, who leads a Church of England campaign to help people to manage their money, said that debt was leading to âthe erosion of family life and the erosion of self-confidence among the poorest peopleâ....
"âI think we have seen in the last ten years or so the development of a culture where debt is so normal for young people,â Dr Williams told BBC Radio Fourâs Today programme."
Oh come on Rowan you know better than most that the new god of Britain is Mammon. After all you and your Liberal bishops and vicars have spent decades getting rid of Scripture authority from the nation.
Had you remembered the Bible it would have stated
"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." 1Tim 6:10.
Oh sorry I forgot you guys have written your own bible haven't you.
"The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty" Prov 10:15.
Psalm 12:8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
Prov 22:16 "He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want."
