SERMONAUDIO TIP —
SermonAudio iPhone (and iPod Touch) Edition!

Attention all users!

We're very happy to announce a revolutionary new way to listen to sermons, watch videos, and access other resources on SermonAudio.com -- instantly! All without a PC and 100% wirelessly. It's the SermonAudio.com iPhone (and iPod Touch) Edition!

Here's how it works. If you are an iPhone (or iPod Touch) user, you can simply go to "www.sermonaudio.com" (or "www.sermonaudio.com/iphone") and you will automatically be presented with the new iPhone Edition interface to SermonAudio!

You can also jump straight to a broadcaster URL (ie: "www.sermonaudio.com/faith") and you'll automatically be taken to the iPhone Edition of the broadcaster homepage.

SermonAudio iPhone Edition allows you to elegantly browse and search through our library of over 306,000+ FREE MP3 sermons from thousands of different speakers and listen to any of them immediately on your iPhone or iPod Touch! Additionally, you can watch sermon videos (MP4) and even read sermon transcripts (PDF).

In addition to finding good sermons, you can find faithful churches in your area or while away from home using our handy Local Church Finder by typing in your ZIP code or partial city name. A link to Google Maps is conveniently available on all church pages. We also have many international broadcasters and sermons in foreign languages.

Summary of features include:

  • Browse, search, and stream AUDIO sermons!
  • Browse, search, and stream VIDEO sermons!
  • Browse, search, and read PDF transcripts!
  • My Favorites. Access your favorite broadcasters, sermons, or speakers!
PLUS or FULL membership required (learn more)
  • Browse through the daily featured sermon.
  • Browse through the News In Focus audio commentaries.
  • Browse through all newest sermon additions.
  • Browse churches by name, location, denomination.
  • Use our Local Church Finder to find a good church!
  • Browse or search by the speaker name.
  • Browse through our recommended staff picks.
  • Browse through member-recommended sermon picks.
  • By topic: Addiction, Biographies, Family, Money, Q&A..
  • By event category: Audio Books, Weddings, Funerals..
  • Browse sermons by foreign language.
  • Online Hymnal. Browse or search for a hymn!
  • Read Spurgeon's Morning & Evening devotional.
And the best news is that this new service is completely FREE for all our broadcasters and listeners! We hope you'll enjoy this revolutionary new way of accessing some of the great preaching we have on SermonAudio!

Your Favorites-To-Go! PLUS and FULL Members can now access all of their favorite broadcasters, sermons, speakers, and videos on their iPhone or iPod Touch! A sermon you want to listen to on-the-go? Simply adding it to your "favorite sermons" on the site will bring it to your "favorite sermons" list on the iPhone or iPod Touch! Couldn't be easier! Learn more..

Churches, please take note! A side benefit to this new "web app" is for shut-ins and the elderly (at home or in nursing homes) who do not have access to a PC, but would find enormous blessing from being able to listen to sermons (or watch sermon videos) throughout the day, every day, in an easy-to-use "touch" interface!

An incredible new evangelistic tool! You can email sermons to friends and family as you normally do. But if they receive their email on the iPhone (or iPod Touch), they will be directed to the sermon in the iPhone Edition and may be much more willing to listen!

This video tutorial is part of a growing number of screencasts. Let us know if it's been a help to you!

The iPhone interface is simply brilliant. Great job on it! This is awesome! I did have to turn on "plugins" in settings to make the MP3 audio pull up. That kind of confused me.

It works on the hp ipaq 111 pda as well. You have to download the mp3 to hear it on the media player but no problem. I prefer it to downloading Kimona. Jesus bless your site. It has been such a blessing to me. Your sister, Lindy

It is not in the App Store -- you simply need to go to "www.sermonaudio.com" in the browser iteself. And then be sure to create a bookmark shortcut on the iPod "desktop"..

Hi Daniel, I have christian radio around my home all day long and even up in my attic... want God's word and song to permeate my property and my presence.. sounds like you are doing the same.
[AUTHOR]Daniel R Hanlon[/AUTHOR]Because I do not have wireless capabilities in cow town, I have figured out something for the country folk. I use my dial up and download sermons to my computer all night. Then let windows play them through my wireless headphones, it broadcasts it 4 acres all around my house, ALL DAY LONG. The one eyed television is dead in my heart and so is the world. King Jesus come quickly, forever you are and forever you will be and we with you ... [/QUOTE]

On Sermon Audio I usually have to download mp3 to computer then copy it over to my Ipod. Now if I could subscribe through ITunes to the sermons from the pastors I liked on Sermon Audio shortcut The sermons would automatically update whenever I hook up my Ipod to the computer and Itunes.

Thank you for all the sermons available and the hard work involved in setting it up and updating it. God bless you.

Johanna

I contacted youe a year or two ago , and it did improve, but you have got it back again to the old routine, so that your weekly Newsletter, dated Oct. 2nd arrives on monday afternoon, 5th - too late to include any of your interesting tit-bits in a Sunday Service! and they are 'Old Hat' by the next weedend!!!
And please tell me how anyone can endure a 35 min - or longer - sermon. My congregation would complain if I exceeded about 12 minutes!!!!
Keep up the good work!
TED

Definitly a nice step up for keeping in touch with broadcasters from far-afield. I am very glad it is standard enough to be compatabile with the Anroid browser.

I would be interested in seeing podcast feeds for your broadcasters show up in google-listen. This would make it even easier to keep up! Right now they do not show up searches at all.

Yes, Sermon Audio has been a blessing, I believe to many as it has been to myself. As I was perusing some of the speakers and messages here, I came across a woman preacher here on Sermon Audio. I feel just awful that women preachers are permitted to post their messages on S.A. I believe the Bible is very, very clear about women not to have authority, etc. over men. They must remain silent in the local church. I just feel awful.
To be clear, we do not allow for women preachers/pastors on the site. Check our Articles of Faith if you wish.

Got the iphone and tried Sermonaudio mobile version and its very good.

Please add the app to the iPhone App store! You'd get even more people finding and using it if you did.

For example, right now, there is no Christian hymnal on the app store. There are also no results for "sermons" on the app store. Cmon, get it on there

Thank you SO much for your great website!
And now, you're " forcing me " to go out and buy an iPod Touch. Truly an amazing device, and leave it to you to take full advantage of it's capabilities!
Thank you again for integrating your website and the iPod Phone & Touch.
I'm off to Costco this afternoon to get one.
God bless you for this much needed mininstry.
Michael K.
