He is handsome and charismatic, and his velvety voice makes young women swoon. But his young female fans mostly wear headscarves, and while his gatherings look more fitting for a rockstar, they involve lessons from the Koran.
Moez Masoud, a 29-year-old Egyptian party-goer-turned-preacher, is sweeping the Middle East with his moderate Islamic message to love not just Allah but also others - and to play a full part in the modern world.
We must pray for Masoud and those who are currently under his spell to come in repentance to Jesus Christ.
While he is a Muslim, he is an enemy of the Gospel of Christ. There is no compromise, there is no compromise, there is no compromise!!! No man, woman, boy or girl can be saved apart from Jesus' command that "ye must be born again."
Islam is clearly the fruit of "doctrines of demons." God, Who is Holy cannot and will not use that which is led by the spirit of antichrist as a conduit for the Gospel. Rather, He will judge sin as He has always and will ultimately conclude so at the Great White Throne judgement.
True followers of Jesus Christ would both reach out with the Gospel while being obedient to His command to "have no (that means NONE) fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness (Islam and all teachings contrary to the Word of God), but rather reprove (expose) them."
In that obedient call, I have publicly declared that Masoud is a servant of Satan unless he becomes a born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ - exclusively.
I can only pray that God has mercy on those who would either ignorantly or rebelliously suggest that there is in any way "good" found in the doctrines of Islam and the heart of Muslims. They need Jesus!
Hey, if televangelists can do the same thing for Islam that they've done for Christianity in the West, then I'm all for this. (e.g. moving it away from what it has always been; denying central doctrines; watering it down; etc.)
